The stereo has large OEM style push-buttons that give a perfect look in a classic dash. Although it looks classic it has the latest modern features. USB input on the back of the radio allows you to plug in a USB flash drive for playback of MP3/WMA song files. This jack is on an 14” extension which allows you to place it in the glove box or ash tray for easy access (no unsightly wires or plugs hanging out of the front of the radio). The alpha numeric display shows the song/artist/album (id3) titles during playback of MP3/WMA files. With the built in CD controller you have complete control of the optional 6 disc CD changer. Included iCAMKIT iPod interface that turns your iPod on/off and charges it while giving you control to advance songs or play list from the buttons on the radio. A great feature so you can keep the iPod hidden away in your glove box or console. With 300 watts the radio should have all the power you may need, if you want more there are four pre-outs jacks on the back of the radio for optional amplifiers. The back of the radio also has auxiliary audio input for satellite radio or any portable player you may wish to use. Comes in chrome face, Chrome center nose piece with black trim plate shown. This stereo can be prepared for many other shaft style older Jeep, car and truck applications. NEW Knobs! Now with period correct black knobs depicting tuner and music note. Knobs and Black trim plate Shown are included. Please call us with any questions 1-800-671-9755

Happy with purchase.
Great looking. Sound seems good, but I'm just running on two 4" Polk speakers in dash. Pretty much no directions, a little YouTube research helped me out. First time installing a stereo.

POOR QUALITY
Product arrived as advertised. Once box was open I discovered that the instructions are Very Very Very Poor. Instructions do not mention several of the small parts for the knobs and where they go. The instructions show to bend a piece of metal (included) and attach this to the firewall of a jeep cj, this piece of metal once bent is not long enough to fit, and the low quality hand drawn photo of this is of no help to me at all. Plus the knobs on the front and plastic pieces on the front of the radio are Poor quality to say the least and will break with the slightest pressure needed to install. This unit looks how I wanted it to look and that is only reason it got two stars, but the quality and craftsmanship are of the lowest possible grade imaginable. For the price of the unit vs the quality I feel ripped off!

Not a good design
This is of course a digital unit. So, though there are knobs for looks, they don't actually roll about an axis--they nudge about 10 degrees in either direction, triggering the controls. There are two big issues with this unit: The "on" delay and the stereo/mono tuning. The on delay is minor, but annoying: When you push the button for "on", the unit takes about 2 seconds before actually starting playing. You don't know if you actually turned it on or not until you get used to it. The same occurs for changing bands and channels, but it does turn off immediately upon a press. The real problem is the automatic stereo setting. If a weak signal is present, then the stereo setting goes to mono. If a stronger signal is present, it switches to stereo. Tough this seems to be a good idea, in practice the tuner can't lock onto any but the strongest signals to keep in stereo. The problem is that the radio switches every second between mono and stereo, ending up with an incomprehensible sound level variation. You can't set it to mono-only, either--it is always automatically selecting. One plus side: The unit is flawless in AUX mode for your mp3 playing. It requires a cord, but I knew that going in.I don't recommend you buy this product, except for looks in a classic Jeep.
