Tough rod. I Like it!
I wanted a telescoping rod to keep in my car. Over the last 3 years I have had 2 other telescoping rods. Both of those shattered under normal fishing conditions. I finally bought the Quantum rod. So far after a year of use, it has been great and held up to all sorts of abuse. The only drawback are the eyes. They can get bent. When they do break, like many do, I am going to buy some of those super tough bendy eyes and tie those on. The rod itself seems to be really tough, which is what is important to me.

Ideal but....
Fabulous concept, but product is quite fragile.

Caught several fish on this rod and it worked better than I expected
This rod worked excilent. After reading stories on the internet about this rod, I almost didn't buy it. Fist fish I caught on this rod was a 5lb bass. Caught another 3lb the next day. I went to a confrence where I had heard they had a private stocked lake and we could fish on our own time. Caught several fish on this rod and it worked better than I expected. I now have two. I am not just a week end angler. I fish almost every day if time allows. I'm glad I own this rod for these types of applications.

A good telescopic rod
It is nice and lightweight and compact, which is great as I will use it as a back up rod or to test a different color bait in my kayak. Collapses nice and the handle feels good. My casting reel fit fine. Has a lot of room to adjust for different reel sizes. 18 ½ inches when collapsed, perfect to put behind my seat in the storage area on my kayak. The tip is a little thin so you don't want to man handle this rod or it could break. Seems like it will work just fine.

get one today and throw it in your car for emergency
this rod comes in handy as i originaly bought for an emergency setup to keep in the car. It has been one of my goto setups as i caught many many fish already on it. Just be careful pulling out of a snag, cant be too rough with it! Its a telescopic rod so expect it to be fragile. For the price and the performance of this product i couldnt be more happy about this product.

Fragile Rod
Bought this for my 13 year old for Christmas. He but it near his fishing gear, his backpack rolled over onto it and the pole broke...in less than an hour after opening. After seeing these other reviews I can confirm that this is not a sturdy rod and is fragile. This is the first telescoping rod I've seen, so can't compare to others. Guess for $20 I should have lowered my expectations.

Probably the best light weight telescopic rod
Very light weight with perfect action. Previous reviewers just saying its fragile have to understand its thin graphite that telescopes! It is fragile but has excellent eyelets and for the price you can get 2 or 3. Try stuffing a full size rod in your car or suitcase, it would be fragile too. I have broken other telescopic rods before but that was being too aggressive when hung up or when closing the rod. These are great for travel and in a float tube.

Great pole to keep in the truck
I put a Zebco 33 on it and keep it in my truck under the back seat with a small tackle box. Hasn't broke yet and I have pulled a couple 3-4 lbs. bass out of the water with it. Works great as my alternate kayak pole as well since it does not stick up so high (easier to paddle under low hanging trees!). Not my main pole but a great addition.
