ResMed CPAP Chin Strap

Arrived in packaging with the same name as the supplies I get from my insurance! Always an extra star for that IMHO, and will always earn me as a repeat customerLong strap adjusts to many head sizes, even my near-child-sized head. My doctor never brought this product up to me, so I was just curious to try it, and the pricing was reasonable. I had been getting more ingrown facial hairs and pseudofolliculitis around the area that the full face CPAP mask and straps touches my face, plus I was getting marks, so I had wanted to see if this would help. (Ultimately, what was most important was buying new headgear more frequently than insurance approves because the straps wear out and then I’d crank the straps down too tight to keep the mask on.)I don’t really use this anymore since I don’t always feel like adding an extra step to my night routine but I’m glad I did buy it. It does stay on and it does help with the issue that I did have. My mouth was also opening and leading to major air leaks and ineffective therapy delivery.Now that I’ve been on CPAP for about 18 months, I’ve gotten the learning curve down a bit more and learned how to adjust the equipment better and what’s important for a good seal. I still keep it in my medication bag in case I want to use it.It’s worth a try!

Works. Comfortable.

Extremely itchy, rough and uncomfortable fabric. It irritated my chin so terribly after trying for two nights that I gave up. I even tried lining it with cotton to avoid the irritation that it caused on my chin. It also slides all around on top of my head since it only has one strap on top to keep it in place. The fabric is very rough on one side and a little softer on the reverse side. I tried both ways. Unfortunately, the softer side still itches has huge thick seams where it’s sewn. Very poor design. Didn’t keep my mouth closed either. Will return.

This works good. It can slip off since it is only a single strap. Harder to position so that it does not slip off with a CPAP mask.

It serves it's purpose. My only issue with this chin strap is it slides. I'll have it in position and overnight it moves and gets tangled in my hair. I prefer a halo type strap

Didn’t work for me unfortunately. The strap didn’t hold my mouth closed as I thought it would. It is much too narrow. I was able to purchase a much wider res med one from my Respiratory Therapist. It’s by prescription! Go figure.

Came as described. I really like this product. It's a little pricey. But works well
