My 8 y/o son and I had a blast not just building, but playing with this set. If you own the King's Castle (Lego 70404), then the Gold Getaway is a no-brainer addition to your collection. The King's Castle has a treasure room, and a "break-away" door for the villains to steal the treasure chests through. Coupling that with the Gold Getaway makes for a lot of imaginative, fun scenarios for normal Lego play. And as any Lego fan knows, playing with the set is just as important as the fun you have building it. The only drawback to this set (and not worth docking a star for) is that it comes with two King's Knights, but only one Dragon Soldier. It would have been nice if Lego had kept it balanced and included 2 of each faction. However, you do get the Dragon Soldier horse, which is a nice compromise. I like this set because it has a chain to hold the door closed. You open the chain with a flick-fire missile. It's easy to build and it goes with all the rest of my castle LEGOs. I got this as a special gift when it was really my brother's birthday.
