Please Make Less Rough!
It pains me to write this, as I love to support natural products, but I don't really like this red rock salt deodorant. The shipping was slow compared to Amazon Prime, which is forgivable. The product and its packaging are gorgeous. Although the deodorant was not as effective as another rock salt brand I've tried, I know that results vary from person to person when it comes to deodorant. But the one factor tipping my review to the negative zone, which others have mentioned, is the sandpaper roughness of the deodorant. Even when carefully wetting the product before applying, it is difficult to avoid irritating your underarms, resulting in an unpleasant feeling which is difficult to ignore. I will still try to make use of this beautiful product (I've had it about a week now), but I am planning to order a different brand of rock salt deodorant, too.

the product seems fine. i think it's just that the rock salts do not work for me. i am trying some other methods. be careful to moisten esp with any edges that have dried with sharp edges. i tore myself up one day in a hurry when i forgot to moisten all over. i don't think that's a brand flaw- just a function of the salt.

STINGS!
I have used Thai brand deodorant for years and really like it. I had seen this one at a higher price in a catalog a while back. I thought if it had minerals and such it must be better. So when I searched and found it on Amazon, I jumped at the chance to get it. Boy, I haven't been this disappointed in a product in a long time. First, the edges were extremely rough and scratchy and I used water to round them off before using. But it was still scratchy and really hurt. I thought the sting was from that so I used an emery board and water and rounded and polished the edges. Then after my underarms had adequate time to heal, I tried it again. It stung just as bad. Let me define my definition of stung and pain--I've had a broken and dislocated toe that didn't hurt as bad initially. I finally threw it away. I would have returned it but by this time, the 30-day return period had already come and gone.

Too rough like coarse sand paper and being like a deodorant didn't work.
This salt bar wasn't a good deodorant for me. In less than a full day, the odor crept back. The other brands that I used would last for almost two days. This one was also far too rough, giving me red marks from the scratched it gave. I've used other salt bars that were smooth. This one is super coarse sand paper-like. Not a good feeling under the arms. Ouch! Even after wetting and trying to go slow and smoothly. Too rough. I ended up throwing it out.

Awesome deodorant alternative
Awesome deodorant alternative. It takes your body chemistry several days then you can really notice the difference. I ended up not being able for it to work as well as I had hoped. it worked really well for someone else an they bought some. I use mine for my hands an feet to keep the sweating at bay. I love it for that. I also use a product called Nycil that is amazing gotta watch where you put it but it works amazing for sweat an odor control.

Deodorant? Not sure. You definitely don't want to rub it directly on your skin. Wet your hands, rub them on the salt bar and then apply to your body with your hands. Mostly likely won't buy this again.

Buy it
A little scratchy at first, but it wears down and gets smooth over time. A great alternative to all the chemicals people put under their arms every day for their whole lives. It must be better than that, right? It kind of works, too.

Soap it up
The bar is great. I used less deodorant because of it. The more you use it the more it gets used. It is soap
