I use this blade on my standard poodle as it zips through his coat no matter if it's matted or not. You do have to be careful I've no doubt it could take an ear off. But it zips right through anything. For close shave areas I switch to a number 40. Also be careful it can get quite hot (even with use of cool lube). I also use it to trim my golden retriever and remove the occasional matt I find on her.

Sturdy good blade

Mine was cutting fine for a while but then it didn’t, need to take it apart and clean stuck hair out and reassemble and oil.

I feel like I’m buying another set of blades every three months. They should be a lot cheaper for that longevity.

Very sharp, cuts fur like butter but still gets very hot. Overall I'm satisfied.

I needed a new blade urgently to go under the comb and this came quick however I can’t use it because it is not sharpen. It keeps grabbing the hair. Not happy.

I ordered multiple different sizes. Not sure why the other ones didn’t have an issue but the 5 I had to wash before using because it was leaving black grease marks on the dog.

I ordered 2 40 blades, and one is not functioning as smoothly as a new blade should.

I always use Whal blades. Never had problems before. Unfortunately these would not cut through the coat. I had to send them to be sharpened. No happy 😖

Blade wasn’t sharp and can’t be professionally sharpened. Waste of money
