It does add a little volume if you keep your hair upside down and spray it on the roots it gives them a little volume but not tooo much ..... it makes them look cleaner which adds some volume by itself.

Different colors and scents. I would recommend getting the bottle specifically created for dark hair as the original is white powder and might show up on your dark roots.
