I have wanted to try skinpen at my local medspa but for the price, I was reluctant. Especially when they said you need approx 6 sessions to see the results. I bought the A7 for less than one procedure at my spa! I was nervous but this is surprisingly easy to use. I chose this model due to it being corded. I will primarily only use it on myself so I like the idea of having a reliable power source (no batteries to worry about charging or dying on you) and the power is stronger with the corded version.I did use a numbing cream and I followed all the proper sanitization/prep requirements you'd get in a professional setting. THAT'S IMPORTANT! No sense in saving your spa $ if you're going to rot your face off by being irresponsible.I watched a few videos online by estheticians and non-professionals as well. I did not beat my face up, little to no bleeding at all, in fact. Next time I will try to go a little deeper but I will ease my way into that. I also did my husband's face! He has large pores, I have wrinkles. His pores looked better the next day! My issue will take more persistence.The night and next day was like a mild sunburn, no big deal.I look forward to using this every 4 weeks and seeing the texture of my skin change.As far as the actual device- its great. It's a little heavy (which I prefer), it's well-made and solid. It's good quality and not a cheap knockoff. Very powerful and the needle cartridges were a snap to change. I imagine this little guy will last a long, long time.

I was a skeptic. But decided to give this a try. I did one treatment with size 12 needle. This pen was easy to use. But let me tell you, the results were immediate and drastic!! This is a staple now!!Buy it!

But take it from me, this is the pen you are looking for. I bought this with my own money, and I'm committed to using it monthly, so I'll update this review if my feelings about it change.This model is corded, but that's actually why I chose it. The consistent power draw from your wall outlet allows this pen to support a stronger and more reliable motor than the other wireless pens on Amazon. This means the needles are less likely to tug on your skin during operation.The needles on this model are thinner than the other models, so you hardly feel them going in. I've tried many other stamps and rollers, and this pen is far more tolerable to use. It comes with 12-pin and 36-pin cartridges. The 36-pin is a bit more intense, so you probably won't want to go as deep with that attachment. Still, it wasn't that painful.I was able to use the 36-pin at 0.5mm depth on my forehead without numbing cream. It felt like a cat's tongue liking my skin, so a bit uncomfortable, but definitely tolerable. The area was a bit tight and warm the following day, but it was less painful than a sunburn. I'd recommend testing it on the back of your hand before moving to your face.The user manual is okay, but it was obviously translated from another language. They mixed up the words "clockwise" and "counterclockwise" when describing how to attach the pin cartridges, so bear that in mind. Also, make sure you turn the pen on before changing the needle depth dial. Otherwise, the needles won't retract properly. Make sure you apply something slippery and hydrating to your skin before operation. Hyaluronic Acid serums are generally a good choice. Watch some videos on youtube before using it.The needles do go in and out. They don't just vibrate like some other 1-star reviews stated. I included a video to show you. If you find the needles aren't operating correctly, then you might have adjusted the depth dial before turning the pen on. This is one of the few pens that is returnable, so if you really can't get it to work, then just send it back.
