Like all other Nest products, this system is super easy to set up and even better, it is super easy to operate! I've been very tired of the Monitronics alarm system that I locked into for 5 years when I bought my house. I knew I wasn't going to renew because of the horrendous cameras and worse, their web services to enable and disable the alarm remotely is very slow to respond which is a big thing for me.The Nest system was so easy to install and integrate into 5 Nest cameras, 6 smoke alarms, and even a thermostat. All that is needed is if you already have a Nest product, you'll already have the Nest app on your phone. You just add the device and you're set! It comes with two fobs that you can set the time between breaking the door sensor and waving across the base to disable or enable, you can put a code in for your alarm and just use the keypad but the best way (for me at least) is to use the app to enable "Arm Away" (motion sensors become active) and "Arm Stay" (alarm set but motion sensors are not active) The latter is good if you have furry kids running around.Another really cool feature is that if you allow Nest to know where your phone is, your new alarm will notify you and say, "Appears that you've left. Would you like to enable your alarm?". If you have more than one person and their phone's location is tracked, it won't ask the first person that left, just the last person leaving.Highly recommend this alarm. I'm getting rid of my Monitronics alarm and the monthly cost in another 3 months and going with this system for my alarm needs.

Simple to install and very effective. All of the Nest products are very well designed, from this security system to the cameras, doorbell and smoke detectors. This systems includes the base and 2 open door detectors, all of which double as motion sensors. It also includes 2 disks that conveniently disarm the system by holding them over the base. The phone app is great too, and reminds you to arm and disarm the system.

I bought this mainly for the door chime, as I have a small child with Autism and I need to know immediately if they open the door. The door chime, and the voice, are so quiet I can barely hear them if I'm standing within arms reach of the base. Anywhere else in the house and it's impossible to hear. I setup my Android phone for notifications, and never received a single one. This thing is junk.

Simplicity and Technology merged in simple harmony. This is a great and effective system. The DIY setup couldn’t have been earlier and the Nest App is excellent to notify me to arm the Alarm when I’m away. The fact that monitoring services are optional is a plus. Definitely recommend this product for your home

Smart alarm system added to my smart home. Nest is part of Google. A lot of smart features. Recommend to people looking to get an alarm system. Easy install you can monitor yourself or pay to proffesionally monitor for @ $20 a month.

This is a great cost effective alarm system. It has many features which a subscription service would not, sends notifications to my phone, and the alarm is extremely loud.

This product was acceptable until Google took over. They are killing cellular backup and forcing users to pay Brinks 20 a month with a 3 year commitment or 30 a month without. You would be much better off going with a no contract plan from a competitor. The migration process for current owners is a mess and Nest support is horrendous. The quality and service associated with Nest post acquisition has declined. Save yourself the headache and stay away.
