Kitzur Likutey Moharan (Abridged Likutey Moharan) (2 Volume Set) Hardcover – September 1, 2009

Having read some introductions to the Rebbe's wisdom I wanted to go deeper but could not invest in the full LM. The teachings here could have really benefited from a commentary. The teachings are often hard to comprehend yet unset are presented as-is without commentary. I assume as an English translation it would not be aimed at Chossids as they wouldn't need the English. For those outside ultra orthodox Judaism this volume is difficult to digest but if you dig you will strike gold! I'm going to try the book Advice which hopefully will be a more appropriate for my level and maybe will put some of these teachings in context. The learning schedule on each page is really helpful and motivating

There is a vast array of collections, and derivative works based on the writings, or teachings, or Rabbi Nachman. The Likutey Moharan was the magnum opus of the Breslov Rabbi, but is probably not a place for the beginner. A Breslover chassid recommended this work to me, and I could not be more pleased. It has a daily reading cycle (based on the Jewish calendar), and according to that calendar you complete the two volumes in one year. I am currently deep into volume one.

Daily advice from Rav Nahman on life lessons and character traits. its a picker upper especially if you read it in the morning as it will set the pace for a positive and glorious day!

I bought this set because the unabridged Likutey Moharan was too hard to teach. This abridged version is focused on practical matters and behavior. Excellent!
