WyeastActivator 1056 - American Ale

After 70 5 gallon batches of beer I finally found a supplier that can provide a top quality yeast.

This packet is a wet yeast and comes in two parts; sadly, when it arrived, the package had been broken or smashed and it was a bit of a mess. We weren't able to use it.

must have been "activated" on the way to my house but luckily it still worked when i went to use it a week later.

I have been using Wyeast products for 20 years, and have never been disappointed. The Activator is a real improvement in convenience since you don't have to do a starter culture any more.

Good yeast, very pricey.

yeast was to expanded to activate use the guarnteed method if you buy this. I was not a happy customer.

Worked great

The whole "Break the inner bag to mix the ingredients" didn't work. Bag never broke, yeast was unusable. This thing requires 2-3 hours of prep time before you can use it! I can't see much benefit to gain over using regular packaged yeast.
