Works as advertised on 2000 Saturn.
Got our old Saturn back on the road. Fairly easy to install. Watch a few YouTube videos for your model. The stick shift is a lot stiffer now but at least the car is drivable. Maybe should have lubed the ball socket with a plastic safe lube but too late now.

Works Great
My shifter broke in the middle of a busy intersection during rush hour. I coasted to the side of the road, and images of tow trucks, days in the shop, and a bill for hundreds of dollars flashed through my head.Fortunately I was stuck in 2nd gear and managed to drive home. After looking at the situation in my car and on the web, I was able to get my car fully functioning within a few days with this part for a few dollars.I spent about a half hour with a screwdriver and channel lock pliers replacing the broken bushing, and now it works great! If you have an old Saturn with 100K+ miles, replace the bushing now and save yourself the panic of having the old one break on the road. It's definitely worth it.

Saved me $300!
I got stranded when the shifter on my 2000 Saturn SL became loose and wouldn't shift. I looked on YouTube for a video on how to repair a loose shifter. The video showed me how to fix the issue and also included a link to buy this part. I wanted to fix this right away so I started looking at parts stores instead. No one knew what I was talking about. The Chevy dealership said the part didn't exist by itself and I would have to by the whole shifter assembly for $300 plus labor. I am not a mechanic just a person that likes to try and fix things myself. This fix took me about 30 mins. And cost all together about 5% of what the dealer would have charged just for the part. I have had the part on my car now for over a month and it works better than it was new.

The Saturn saviour cements it's battle-tested Delrin legacy.
PROBLEMS? SOLVED.WORRIES? NONE.DELRIN? INDEED.$12 part saved my vintage '98 Saturn SL2 a trip, well, nowhere - because how are you going to get it in gear without this part? You aren't. 20 minutes of fiddlin', zero tools to be spoken of, and some raw power fueled by pure, unfiltered elbow grease got this sucker in place and locked in - now the ol' "SS Teena Marie" is sailing the streets and shifting smoother than ever before. It's the Delrin, I'd be willing to bet. Slicker than spit on a gold tooth. Get it while you still can - and buy another for each 100,000 miles you plan on slapping on your own piece of history.

Great replacement
When my bushing gave out I managed to get back home and I had time to do some research. I saw the replacement bushing common in the aftermarket and it looked like it wouldn't work very well, reading the reviews confirmed this, so I didn't even try it. I saw this item mentioned in a youtube video and it looked simple and easy to install. This was about half the price that any auto parts store wanted for the other style bushing. Installation was very easy. I was a little concerned at first that it might slip back off the ball stud because there was no obvious seat for the ball when I pressed them together. I immediately noticed that the shifter was very stiff, but after a couple weeks it was only slightly tighter than the old one. I expect that this bushing will outlast the rest of the car. I'm very pleased with this.

Very nice Saturn shifter bushing
This bushing is easy to install, I used a pair of channel lock pliers. I am hoping it will last a long time.

Works well
Have had it installed for 6+ months, 5k miles, does the job. Took a while to break in. It was very stiff during winter until cabin warmed up. I had used a "temporary" Toyota wiper bushing for over a year so I was used to very sloppy shifting. Then the whole end came off the cable so I bought the replacement end on ebay (can't get on Amazon) and ordered this to use with it. Shifting is TIGHT now, or at least way tighter than I had before. It fit so snugly that I can't imagine it failing before the car dies altogether. (250k miles on car now)

Use them to fix your Saturn
VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got it installed since I was concerned about the one from Napa...( Napa uses a soft aluminum ring to stay on and it had already failed once in less than a year)Back to this one: nice rigid well made part. full lip to hold secure. Shifter is stiff, but in a good way. You know it is responding to your gear request,,, I wish I knew about these years ago. I even have one more which I may never use since this seems so well made!Seriously good good part!
