Review: Best Comfort Replacement Grip - Not Tacky, Not Absorbent - Many confuse an overgrip with a replacement grip - they're apples and oranges. This is a "Dry Comfort" replacement grip... neither the word "tacky" or "overgrip" is used for good reason. The name is what you get. If you are looking for tacky, a very popular tacky replacement grip is the Gamma Hi-Tech (or Contour) Grip. The top seller at desertcart is the HEAD Hydrosorb. Others include the Babolat Syntec Wimbledon (their popular Pro Tour for less tacky), the Dunlop Geck-Tac, or the Brown Matis Pro. For lighter tackiness, the Prince ResiPro is also popular. Then, there's a TW leather grip. Many claim this grip is absorbent - it's done mechanically with many holes to hold your sweat. The material is not absorbent. Get a towel grip if you want that. Comfort and tacky are not compatible; you can't have them both. The same is true for absorbent. Such a grip would quickly tear. I've ended up with ten rackets and carry four with differing head heaviness, string, and grips for various environments. This heavy grip is not ideal for aggressive play as thicker means move twisting (and tearing). Now, this thicker grip is good for volleying and drops. The larger size does not help gain grip strength (as many like to believe). No matter the size, muscle pressure is always the same and as any engineer can tell you a larger area only means fewer pounds per square inch - the total friction thus remains the same (see first comment for links to a couple of studies). While many players disagree, a heavier grip like this one also means a head lighter racket, not good for smashing. I primary use this grip for warm-up, friendlier games, and greater net play. This is a great all season, all around game play grip. I highly recommend it and I will buy it again (for my head light racket). There are many more tacky overgrips than replacement grips (IMHO, the best is Yonex Super Grap and it's a top seller at desertcart - next IMHO is Ni Ling GP1000) but you must use two (Nadal uses THREE Babolat VSs - not tacky) and they're not comparable to this product (I instead use $3 a roll Cramer Tape Underwrap for a small amount of comfort with a tacky grip). Others like the Wilson Pro (another top seller at desertcart) and Prince DuraTred+ (holds the tackiness longer). You could also try something with Tacky in the name like the Tourna Tac and Mega Tac. For a bit less tackiness, my favorite is the Gamma Supreme. The reason there's more tacky overgrips is that the tackiness never lasts long so it's assumed you will be replacing them more often and will naturally want something a bit cheaper (exactly how I roll - lol). Such along with cost are the primary motivations for an overgrip purchase. This IMHO is the best COMFORT replacement grip (for the money). Those who claim it is tacky or that it should be tacky are (sorry) completely wrong. Leather is not comfortable to me. Towel grips slip too much. A thinner grip will provide you with more control (and is better for smashing) in all situations. If you really like a tacky grip, you may want to use a tacky towel. But, personally I find an "uncool" racquetball glove is better than using a tacky towel - that's what I use after playing a while in 110+F and humid in Tucson.
Review: Good grip! - Easy to put on a paddle handle. Feels great!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good grip!
*by J***B on November 17, 2025*

Easy to put on a paddle handle. Feels great!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's fantastic. I love it!
*by V***I on July 23, 2015*

The grip is fantastic! I generally use it as a over grip for my badminton racket as it gives me more control to my play. It perfectly solves the purpose. It has a soft feel and it does not let the racket slip from your hand. I would highly recommend this.
