beautiful photographs and gorgeously taken. Pictures are a beaty to behold. You should definitelt buy this book if you love excellent photography.

I was introduced to Robert Mapplethorpe sometime in the early 1990's, and his art and humanity have stuck with me since. I am a heterosexual Black male, and I find his homo-erotic images to be quite affecting. His graphic photography involving male genitalia and overt sexuality, seem to be saying "this is my lifestyle and my art. You can't say you love my art if you aren't willing to engage this content". I agree with him.Some might protest the "objectification" of Black males in the book. The energy of the men in the photos seem to suggest that it was a collaboration and that to some degree all photography involves the objectification of the person being being photographed.
