Elena Undone Paperback – February 15, 2011

From what I understand, this book was written post-movie as a novelization of the movie. Overall, the essence of Elena Undone has been captured in this book, though this was one case where I did not feel the book was better than the actual movie.Some of the background information and details added in the story felt a bit out of place or fell flat; there were portions where the writing felt a little sloppy as though the novel was rushed together. However, all in all, it was a good book and worth the time and effort of reading.

The movie is done with great taste. The two women in the movie were beautiful and so talented. The acting was so believable it made you feel with them. You can tell these two women put their heart and soul into this movie. This is an awesome movie you must see. A great soul mate love story. At the end of the movie you want to see more. The story has love, passion, sensuality and yes a happy ending.I just love this movie.. I started out just to rent it. I watched it, and then bought it. I have it on my iPhone, the computer, and DVD. I then bought the book. The soundtrack is awesome too. This must see film. The best Lesbian film I have seen. I have watched it over and over. I have never done that with any other film.Read the book, watch the movie you won't regret it.

I purchased the DVD first. Watched it many, many, many times. It is the best Lesbian Romance film I have seen. There is a story line, and characters are well developed. The on screen chemistry between the lead characters is SO believable, you can FEEL them falling in love. Now, the book. Same story of course, but with more back ground information of the characters. You get to know the characters in more depth. You have a more intimate look into their lives, and how it builds to the two lead characters getting to know one another. Nicole Conn is not only one of the best, if not the best Lesbian Romance film makers of all time, she wrote (if I'm not mistaken) all the scripts for every one of her films. As well as her most intimate documentary look into her life as a Mother of a Micropremie, Nicolas. Girls, if you have seen the film "Elena Undone", and enjoyed it, you really need to buy the book. You will not be sorry.

I seeing the movie and thought that some things was missing and needed to read the book knowing that the power of love can change my thinking about my life.

I have just read this book and I must say I am falling in love with this authors style of writing. With this author it is not about the sex but the journey of discovery and love. To say I am impressed would definitely be a understatement. I find her characters real and approachable. They feel so real that I felt like I was eaves dropping. She holds her readers from first page to the last and leaves them wanting more. I laughed, cried and got angry with Elena. But when the last page was written I felt a sense of loss. I would love to read more of this authors work.

I saw the movie first and as i have read other books written by the extraordinary writter/director Nicole Conn. I bought the book and it even better than the movie(It was great) because the film was not covering all the details of the book. The soulemetry concepts of getting people together that they meant to be is real. Nicole Conn is one of a kind. I want to see more books publish by her.After watching and purchasing A Perfect Ending, a sublime work of art by Nicole Conn,I am ready, willing and able to see her new production(s) in the near future.

I have read this book at least three times and also watched the movie. It reaffirms the belief in love no matter the gender or the opsticles. You must always believe in what seems impossible.

In this genre', no one does it better than Ms. Conn. The talent of taking a basic story line and weaving an intricate pattern of longing, want and finality of knowledge, of who you are has been is loss in this techno, always connected, instant gratification generation. This novel gives the reader insight into the raw sensuality of love and all its trappings. This is a must read for those searching for their true selves.

Having seen the movie Elena Undone, I wondered what the book was like. I can't say if the book was an afterthought for the movie, or if it was the treatment for the story, but the book is way sexier and far more hot than the movie. I'm sure if the movie followed the book closely, the movie would have been released NR because the volume of sex scenes in the book is staggering. I counted seven scenes where Peyton and Elena had sex -- hard, hard sex. The book lives little to the imagination, and that's a good thing. If viewers of the movie thought the erotic aspects of the movie were tepid, the book provides some amazing and entertaining sex scenes.

If you've seen the film this does a great job of fleshing out some bits that the film isn't clear on e.g. much more is given of Peyton's back story which explains the insecurities you see in the film; the fact that Nash is actually Elena's natural son (I thought maybe she was his adopted mother or stepmother since they look nothing alike!) etc. If you've not seen the film then this might ruin it for you since films inevitably have to leave out things that you might wish had been included. I love the film (that kiss - wow!) and I like the book. It's a worthy addition to the whole "Elena Undone" experience!

I watched the movie before purchasing the book and I know I should have done it the other way around.I feel as though the book does give you a better insight into who the two women are, take Peyton as an example, there's so much in the book that there isn't in the movie. I think it's beautifully written and I just love the whole soulmate part involved in this story, there are a few lines which I completely love and they will stay in my mind.I highly recommend this book, it's sweet, lovely and romantic.A must read if this is your preferred genre and don't forget to watch the movie too!
