The unit is well built, and I like the display. It's working well for me so far. However, beware that the status lights are not properly labeled. There are two status lights under the power switch. One is red and one is green. Logically the green one is telling you that power is on and everything is OK. If the red light is lit, it's telling you there's a problem (a fault and it needs to be reset). However, next to the red light is printed "POWER". Next to the green light is printed "FAULT". These should be labeled oppositely.I contacted the seller, and they informed me in fact that green indicates power and red indicates fault. It would be much better labeled if the green light had POWER printed next to it, and the red light said FAULT. In my second photo I think this is how the designers intended it would be interpreted. This is a very small issue, but I thought I would share in case you purchase one and become confused when you plug it in and "the fault light comes on". If it's green it's good to go!

This unit really misses a remote control. I bought it to install in my camper van, and as such, the place where it would be installed is not easy to reach (under the bed, but still well ventilated).I was hoping to leave this unit's power switch permanently in the ON position, then I was going to use a relay (rated up to 80 amps) as my "remote control".But it turns out the way this device works is: once you cut off the power to it, it won't start working again until you actually reset the physical power switch in the unit itself.If you try to control power to this unit using a relay or some other type of switch it won't work. The only way to operate is through the unit's power switch. Period.That's too bad because other than that this is a great unit.

This inverter replaced the one in my solar system that I overloaded and is now toast. I chose this one because of the display readout, it had good reviews and the size (2000/4000) fit my needs. So far I have been running it 24/7 and it is preforming flawlessly. I have 800 watts of solar panels and 450 amp hours of AGM batteries. The house has been wired with a separate system from what comes in off the grid. I use the system primarily for back-up but a few lamps, laptops and phone chargers are hooked to the system 24/7. I think this is a great buy for a "Pure Sine Wave Inverter".

This product works fine until the input voltage drops below a certain level, then the AC output quits. Once the input voltage returns to 12 volts, the inverter fails to reset and continue to provide power. I have to physically flip the switch to off, then back on for the output AC voltage to return to 120 volts. Am I missing something?

I am using this inverter for my off-grid setup in a converted van. It has been working great so far (about a week) and I plan to add solar panels to my setup down the road.I did call the company because there was no troubleshooting manual included with the inverter, and the lights are mislabeled. The green light should be POWER and the red light should be FAULT. I thought that there was a fault for some time (since the green light was on) until I confirmed that the red light will be on if there is a fault.

I was dissatisfied until I realized my "unrelated" breaker (in line/red/purchased here/30Amp) was faulty. I ordered a different breaker. This easily runs my 1050 watt microwave while running 60 watts on fridge freezer combo. Nice unit, nice looking face, great rear terminals and safe nuts rather than standard bolt. Nice unit, buy it.
