4.75" French Serrated Edge Tomato Unility Knife, Fully Forged, French Stainless Steel, Made In France by Rousselon Dumas Sabatier

I was looking for a filet and paring knife NOT made in China. I found a few American made knives, Cutco for example, but I just don't like the look, and they're expensive. The 32 Dumas knives were a pleasant surprise at their price point. Very durable, and exceptionally light. Both were very sharp out of the package. I especially like that the filet knife is flexible, as it should be, but not too flexible. It is a fine knife! Vive la France!

This 10" French Slicing Knife is perfect for preparing steak, poultry, sashimi(fish), and other various meats with both superior swiftness and control. To me, this knife has a comfortable, slim handle and a good weight to it- not too heavy and not overly light. From using this knife as a daily cook, I can confidently say that this product will work wonders in the kitchen for many years to come. If you're looking for long lasting, high quality knives, the DUMAS brand definitely the way to go. Knife comes very sharp and is securely packaged.

I bought this to replace a sabatier knife that fell apart after 40 years of use. This knife is exactly like my old knife, very sharp, and just the right size for many kitchen tasks. Why pay more for other knives?

I bought both the 6" chef's and the 4" paring knives.I use both French style and German style knives but normally prefer French.These knives are excellent quality at a very reasonable price and equal to all my others which I bought in Thiers.I wish they had a 3" paring and a birds beak paring also.

The media could not be loaded.  This is an absolutely beautiful knife! It came very sharp as you can see in my video. The handle feels wonderful in the hand and it has a nice heft to it without being overly heavy. 10 out 10 would recommend and will probably buy more knives from them in the future!

Good solid construction (full tang), decent age retention for the stainless steel, easily re-sharpened, thin blade, great for slicing. For EU-made knife (France) this set is a steal. The block has magnetized slots so that knives can be arranged in the way you like (as opposed to having unique slots for each individual blade). A minor point: comes in a plain white box, not the most visually gifty packaging.

It was a gift for a friend who likes to cook but didn’t have a good sharp knife. He’s very happy with it. It’s a nice weight and balance. It’s sharp and is used to cut meat, cheese and vegetables. We’ll see how sharp it stays over time.

What I thought when I received this knife was that I would have it for years. I care for my cutlery well. But this parting knife developed a divot out of the sharp-edge of the tip soon after I received it. It almost seems like a manufacturing glaw occurred. I would not purchase this brand again.
