The Amnesia is specifically designed to encapsulate vintage analog delay tones, while providing modern functionality. It's an incredibly versatile pedal; In addition to its Time, Repeat, Mix, and Modulation knobs, the Amnesia comes equipped with a Mode toggle switch that incorporates three distinct delays. Choose from MN3005 (warm overall sound), SAD4096 (distorted when delay knob is turned up), and MN 3208 (dark and spacious). Whether you're after chorus, vibrato, ambient washes, or a quick slapback, the Amnesia delivers several distinct, organic analog delay tones.Features:-Time - adjust the delay time from 10ms to 900ms.-Repeat - controls the feedback of the delay.-Mod - Adds a luscious modulation to the delay. At 12 o’clock there is no modulation. Clockwise adds a slow chorus and counter-clockwise adds a fast vibrato. -Mix - Controls the blend between fully dry (clean) and fully wet (repeat only) echo sound. 12 o’clock is an equal mix of clean and echo.-Mode toggle switch lets you choose from three distinct delays: MN3005, SAD4096, and MN3208

Huge delay with loads of color!
The delay is great, first off, so much so that it has quickly become my favorite pedal within the two months I've owned it!You get three, distinct styles of delay:-crisp and echo-y (standard, chimey, bright)-sharp and static (lots of attack, becomes filtered distortion with longer echoes)-low and dull, murkyAll three are highly useful depending on your tastes! I find each unique and enjoyable as textures in my sound. This pedal is wildly different from any delay I've had before, so I'll break-down some the fun quirks I've found while tinkering away with it:Turning the "time" knob all of the way down let's you fine-tune the effects of the "mod" knob without delay as the repeat knob also effects the modulation's behavior. I used this to really adjust the modulations' effect before blending the delay back into the mix. Additionally, I found that the "repeat" effects the speed of your chorus or vibrato, while the "mod" changes the depth of detuning.Turning the "mix" knob all the way to the right cuts your original signal entirely, so you'll only hear the echoes of your delay, or, just the modulated sounds if the knob is on. Fun to mess with, but less practical for me, still worth noting as I bet it could be very useful in certain situations! Most interestingly, in my opinion, is the actual footswitch itself! For one, it doesn't click AT ALL. Touch and it is on. Touch and it is off. It's quiet and removes guesswork. It is not, I believe, true-bypass, so this pedal is technically always on. It is silent, which is amazing, and it allows you to have a continued echo. Here's what I mean by that:With other delays, if you are finishing a phrase or need to hit one, lush, echo-y chord before a faster passage that doesn't need delay, you would turn the pedal off, sure, but your signal would drop dry immediately and stop your echoes. So, with this bad boy, it let's your last notes ring out after you turn off the effect and decay as if the pedal were still engaged! No more dead-stops when disengaging a delay!I use it to lay an echoed chord, turn off the pedal, play some passing notes, and re-engage for the next chord. It is a very musical feature and I use it often.Overall, this pedal is amazing. I can get so much more out of this; additionally, it's a much smaller device in comparison to other pedals, so it is very pedal board friendly!Within a day I was hitting thumping lines of 50's-style slap back, with chorus I had ultra-psychedelic echoes that were straight from Pink Floyd's "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" album, and the vibrato was MADE to play the Beatles' "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"! I really enjoy just listening to this pedal do its thing! I find so many textures in this pedal as I go through different vibes!Did I mention how long of a delay time you can dial-up on this thing?! It's a huge window of up to 900ms!I use mine in before Keeley Aurora to add loads of extra shimmer and layers of sound! I could live off just these two pedals and never want for another effect again! But...I have others, so I'll say it also carries distortion or envelope filtered/wah effects very well! The only thing I think other people MAY not like is how defined the modulation effects can get as they are rotated in the mix. When set almost anywhere passed just dialing-in, the "vibrato" side the sound is crazy. You can literally get a 60's spaceship "woo-woo" sound, and when cranked too deeply into the "chorus", the detune gets so drastically different in your repeats that you'd be hard pressed to play another note as you chords warp away in a different key. If you want an one-timey radio sound where the timing seems wrong or warpy, it's perfect. What I mean to say is that you may not want to sell your chorus pedal right away haha.Outside of that, moderate chorus and mild vibrato are all you need out of the modulation feature anyway, and both sound highly usable and enjoyable! In fact, the chorus onboard here is of better quality, is cleaner, and sounds richer than my BOSS Bass Chorus! This pedal is a blast, and definitely a great upgrade from my previous delay, and a better investment than other, comparable delays! Find one of these. Buy it. Never let it go! I spent about 5 hours with it my first day and I loved every little nuance it threw back at me. It is becoming part of my 'go-to' sound. I seriously have opened such a huge sonic door with this pedal. Also, check out the Alexander pedal company, itself, to read their story, learn about the donation portions from proceeds that go to childhood cancer, oh, the fact that the warranty is extended to any future owners for two years from the day THEY get the pedal. Such great folks for doing business in such a way. Thank you Alexander Pedals!
