Cracking CD great music from a great group

Bought this for my daughter. She loved it!

I was on holiday in the USA when I heard drinkin’ problem over and over on the radio. Loved it .bought the EP on download (I never buy eps or downloads!) and then bought the album as soon as it was released. A very impressive debut. Saw them live and they were impressive. Always difficult to follow up a great debut and expectations were high for their sophomore album. On first listen, I didn’t hear a really big song like Drinkin’ Problem. I thought perhaps not enough rockin’ Country. On second listen, I really started to appreciate and enjoy the album and on a high listen enjoy the even more. It is country strongly influenced by the 70s and honky tonk. The harmonies are wonderful. The playing is unmistakably country. There are some great songs such as Mr Lonely, Cheatin’ By the rules, cheatin’ songs. Nothing to skip over. As good as the first album? Maybe not. if not, it it comes very close. It is on constant play and I am really enjoying it. It is country music from a bygone age that does not sound dated. If you are into traditional country music, give this group and this album a listen. If you like the Eagles, you might enjoy the sound this group makes. It is great music, great country music and a joy. Some great country music releases this year (Strait, McEntire) and this is another one. Highly Recommended.

So pleased I bought this cd love every track I love their country music they are great harmonisers . Their true country singers so enjoyable to listen to.

Great album from Midland. I still play the first one regularly, it's so good. I first took an interest in this group, not as you might expect from hearing a song but by seeing the cover of their debut release. These gents have style, good looks and some amazing suits so it was a great relief to discover they sounded good as well.
