Nice fit & looks sharp.
We replaced an old plastic flapper style vent. This metal unit is sturdy & keeps bugs from coming in. Very happy.

Dryer vent pipe length
This is a really nice all metal vent. Quality construction ensures long term viability. However, if installing in FL or on any stucco construction, be advised that you will only have 3/4 - 1 inch protruding on the inside of the installation. It was enough for me to work with, but it really needs to be longer.

Very well built.
Has to be one of the toughest vents I have on my house, it took the abuse of me hammering it into my cinderblock wall holes. I looks awesome and fits perfectly flush

Looks awesome, add a screen to make to perfect.
I bought three of these. I saw them at the builders store but they were twice the cost there. I drilled a 4 inch hole and fed them through the opening. The reason the third is offset was due to the position of the studs. I wanted to make sure I had at least three of the screws set into a stud (the two top ones and one bottom). I also sealed the backside with caulking around the hole and used caulking on the front plate to ensure it secured. They provide venting for my bathroom overhead vent, over the cooktop set in the counter and one for the cabinet that the cooktop is set into.

Well built and worth the money
It is made out of thick sheet metals and nicely powder coated. Definitely will outlast those plastic ones many times. When installing on a lap siding, you may want to run a thin bead of caulking around the square flange especially down the two vertical sides to prevent water from seeping in behind it.

Great quality product but poor packaging
This item arrived this morning after waiting almost 3 weeks for delivery. The excitement was building to see what was hoped to be a quality replacement dryer vent hood to replace the tired one currently residing in my house. Horror of horrors! When the box containing my new vent hood came into view, I was shocked at the deplorable condition of the box it came in. Shame on the postal carriers for such lackadaisical treatment of customer goods. Fortunately the contents of the package were undamaged due to the quality of the product despite the tattered state of the box. This review comments on the quality of the product only, not the delivery service or lack thereof.
