The radio I received seems to work fine, but the programming cable provided does NOT work with Windows 10. A large number of programming cables for this product were made with chips that the new Prolific USB drivers on Windows 10 deliberately disable due to some manufacturing infringements that occurred. So, if you buy this, buy an additional cable that works with Windows 10 or plan to use non recommended software to program your radio on Linux or Mac. Three stars for the hassle of this.

Unit doesn’t work. Arrived defective. Attempting to return / exchange now. Will update once Seller addresses issue. Hope it’s a “one off” bad radio.

I was reading the reviews about the cable doesn’t work, or won’t work with windows 10. You have to download the program software and the usb driver from tyt website. If you don’t get that driver your not gonna be able to program it. But I own many radios and this one is my go to on the run radio I love it.

You can’t connect the radio to windows. There’s no software and the company website and phone are not accessible

Getting Windows 10 to communicate with the radio was not easy but once its programmed it works great.

I use this to hit local DMR repeaters, and the longer whip antenna really puts some decent legs on this little 5w HT! The sound quality from the speaker is really much better than I expected.Best of all, there are a number of tools to allow for programming on Linux, which is a great help!The battery isn't exactly best of breed, and the GPS option has been essentially useless to me thus far, so I'd definitely save a few bucks and forego that option if I were to purchase this again. Those are my only complaints. For the money it's a great little unit.I haven't used the analog side of this HT at all, so I can't speak to how it works out.
