Good buy.
Leapfrog is great for kids who are learning to read and math. Have been a fan of leapfrog since 2010. Always buy my children and always gift to grandchildren.

A big hit with my 2-year-old grandson!!
I sent these 2 DVD's, Leapfrog: Numberland & Leapfrog: Letter Factory, to my 2-year-old grandson. He loves them! He watched Letter Factory 6 times the first day, & today he's been asking to watch Numberland at least 3 times so far. He loves it!They are excellent introductions to letters & numbers. They're exciting, fun, & he is mesmerized by them! His mom thought they couldn't watch DVD's because they don't have a DVD player, but his dad told us they can play DVD's on their Xbox. It works perfectly!UPDATE: My grandson has been watching this video several times a day for 3 weeks. Today his mom gave him 4 cookies, & he counted them 1,2,3,4. That's great for age 28 months! He still loves this video. Soon I'll send him the next math video in the Leapfrog series.

captivating cartoon for toddler with focus on numbers 1-10
Decent music. Well, good enough that I could manage the thousand and one times it was played. A little Beatles influenced, maybe. Worth the money. Not sure it helped encourage my daughter to fall in love with math. She is 13 now, and while she fully appreciates the importance of math, she doesn't LOVE math the way she loved this cartoon. That's for sure.

Very engaging and high quality educational content.
I scoured the options on Amazon for quality counting videos. I taught elementary school for 9+ years so I have high expectations. I saw quite a few positive review for Numberland on here, so I bit the bullet and ordered it for my 2 year old. I can say I love this video. The songs are catchy, my son loves to watch it. I find the songs to be catchy too. sometimes kids shows can have annoying songs, but these aren't bad at all. I happen to be very restrictive compared to most parents when it comes to TV time.Perhaps because I am an educator I liked the bonus feature that explains the mathematical concepts presented from an educational perspective. Number theory and all that jazz!If you are comparing this to Numbers Ahoy, I would go with this one, Numberland. I watched Numbers Ahoy and there isn't as much educational value to it.

Hope you like to watch this because your kids will
My kids have Leap Frog toys and somewhere saw a trailer for one of these Scout & Friend DVDs. They are very reasonably priced so I bought one. It is not the most visually stunning or innovative animation, but the characters, dialogue and songs are sweet and simple. My 3 year old and my 5 year old both love to watch this again and again, to sing the songs and anticipate the ending. The movie goes through the numbers and helps kids understand their size and order. I always cringe when letting my kids watch a movie instead of doing something else, but this video really helps them learn! What's not to love? I soon bought Phonics Farm, too, and it was as a big of a success with us as this. I like the pre-reading help!

We like it a lot!
I am absolutely in love with the Letter Factory video and I was hoping for more of the same in this video. This is a great video that gives the kids practice in counting in order and recognizing their numbers. Cute video with little catchy songs, but I wish that they had a little song that went along with the counting in order though because the kids do so well with that. In fact, they keep singing the counting by twos ditty that is at the end of the video because it is catchy. I don't really care for that add-in. Let us get down counting 1-100 before we jump into concepts like that. The kids really like it and it definitely lives up to the Leap Frog name!

Great for kids
I ordered this a years ago. And to this day my son still will revert back to this show. It seems to stick with kids even when they grow up a little bit more. So I'd say money well spent great show for kids.

Great DVD and learning tool
This is a great DVD to teach your child numbers. It is repetitive in that they go over th numbers a lot of times and it sticks with you. The characters are all cute, but the only thing I don't get is Max, the monkey. Why did they think it was necessary to have this monkey (who hardly looks like a monkey in my opinion) with an English accent I am not sure. Are they trying to tech 2-year olds that people have different accents and come from different countries, if so, I think it is a little too early and maybe somewhat confusing to the child. Nevertheless. this is a minor remark that I have but I love the DVD format and songs and my daughter likes it too.
