A profound book that will improve your life
Bhante Sujatha and Stacey Stern have written an easy to read yet profound book that provides so many practical tools on how to live a more joyful and content life. What makes this book unique is the seamless way that the two authors (one from Sri Lanka and one from the US) demonstrate how ancient Eastern wisdom can be applied to practical situations that we all face today in the West. The book goes back and forth between traditional Buddhist stories and present day situations where Bhante has counseled couples who have experienced infidelity or dissatisfaction with their current jobs. I found that my mood and approach to several of the stresses in my life improved immediately after reading the book. There are so many simple yet powerful lessons in this wonderful book. I highly recommend it.

Give yourself the gift of this valuable insight~
"Bhante Sujatha has a magnetic affect on all those in his presence. When sharing his teachings of Lovingkindness around the globe, people that meet him and hear him speak are left in a changed way. Sitting on the Toolbox is carefully and simply written in a way that honors the unique combination of his gifts of teaching. His marriage of the East and West in this guide book for life makes the ancient teachings manageable and applicable to our everyday experiences in the now. His presence and teaching reflects only the light that is within us all. Put your personal tools to work and build a purposeful and peaceful everyday for yourself and all those you touch."Kellie Samadhi, Student

The Book That Keeps Giving
Do you know the feeling when you open a gift that pleases you only to find there's even more under the tissue paper? There's more in this little book than I imagined. Each bit of wisdom that Bhante shares is so heartfelt and personable. I can relate to or understand all of his sentiments, and all of his direction to look inside myself makes sense. This is a workbook, a toolbox! It's not a book that I will put on a shelf and forget about, but a book that I will refer back to time and again. I have already planned to buy it for some of my friends! Thank you, Bhante, for being such a loving and kind monk!

A book to live my life by.
Bhante Sujatha and Stacey Stern have collaborated to create a book that is incredibly deep and laugh-out-loud funny all at once. I have read books by other Buddhist monks and none have matched theirs in terms of making the concepts relatable and applicable to my life. I sped through the book the first time because it was such a great read. Tonight I will start reading (savoring!) it a chapter at a time (will also take the time to do the “integrating insight” exercises at the end of each chapter). Have a feeling that I will return to this book when I need to be reminded how to let go and live a “joyful life”.

Great and helpful book
One of the better books that I have read in quite some time. I read a chapter each day before bed and let the ideas sink in. Each chapter contained a wealth of wisdom. I know I will reread this book often. One of the best things that I learned from this book is to repeat a mantra often and at any time. It helps to say the mantra when troubled. The magical mantra is: "I am healthy, I am happy, I am peaceful". This mantra puts you in a good mood and relaxes you both physically and mentally.
