Go West

I got this mostly for the awesome "We Close Our Eyes" which I was reintroduced to by listening to an serius fm station. I sampled the other tracks on Amazon and was surprised that I briefly remembered both "Call Me" and "Don't Look Down", both very cool. And the rest of the album is consistent as well. A very cool time capsule of music from 1984/1985.

A fun tune.

This is a great cd. Every song on this cd is wonderful!! I loved Go West back in the day, and I rediscovered them again recently listening to my satellite radio 80's station.

The songs are great, the recording production is top notch, and the mix is shiny. I used this album to test out how audio systems sounded for about 15 years.

Enjoyed them in the 80's (remember Pretty Woman soundtrack, they were on there?), on vinyl and I look forward to hearing this on cd!

No one better than this group!! I have already worn out 2 other CDs. Always excited to listen to Go West.

Go West are one of those 80s bands who never quite matched the success of other acts like Wham, Duran Duran and Frankie Goes To Hollywood who were dominating the charts at the time when the band made their debut.However Peter Cox's remarkable voice and Richard Drummie's keyboard skills make their debut album an enjoyable collection. The nine tracks are all of a decent standard (with no ropey ones) - from their biggest hit 'We Close Our Eyes' that opens the album to the echo's of the slow burning 'Missing Persons' that closes the album. My favourite tracks are 'Call Me' (a high octane pop tune) and 'Goodbye Girl' (an emotional moody tune) which provided the band with further top 40 chart success in 1985.This album has never been re-issued or re-mastered so all copies in print are the original standard package from 1985 with no bonus extras. A follow-up of album of re-mixes and B sides titled 'Bangs & Crashes' was release the following year and is still available to buy.Their debut album still remains their best work to date.

I grow up on the 80ys it’s a classic

bought this as I'm going to see them in November so wanted to be reminded on the traveling journey - I loved Go West when I was younger and still love it today - speedy delivery and very good condition
