Ganache for Lips Lip Balm - Chocolate Raspberry

I was given one of these as a stocking stuffer and I loved it. However the one I just received did not have as much tint in it and was a little goopier, so I don't know what happened... overall if you like chocolate it is a fun choice for lip conditioner.

How can one screw up something as seemingly delicious as chocolate and raspberry? Well, buy this and you shall find out! Having seen one bad review, I thought to myself, "It's chocolate and raspberry--it's can't possibly be bad." Wrong.When I first opened this and saw the dark brown, it seemed fine. I sniffed it. It smelled vaguely of industrial chocolate but I didn't pick up any raspberry. Without a second thought, I slathered this on. It was then that the superbly strong scent of castor oil hit me--so much so that I immediately looked for it in the ingredients. It wasn't listed. I waited for the nauseating scent to wear off but this never happened and I continued to smell it an hour later after which I had to wipe this thing off. As I wiped, the white tissue took on the brownish cast of this balm. The texture of this thing is surprisingly dry; it's a semi-matte finish with the peculiar quality of piling on the product yet experiencing no moisturizing properties.Determined to make it work, I applied it at night thinking that it will at least provide some comfort while I'm unconscious. Well, the incredible potency of the scent of castor oil with possibly a hint flaxseed oil prevented me from being able to fall asleep! I tossed and turned and then again had to get up and wipe off this brownish mess.Really, you would do better with just about anything else. Bonne Bell, Lip Smacker, Blistex, e.l.f., vaseline--ANYTHING but this thing. I would not use this again if they PAID ME $6.50 to do so!!

This is one of my favorite lip balms of all time! It smells just like a Godiva chocolate raspberry truffle. It manages to be rich and sweet, but also without being too cloying or sugary either. It really is like getting a high end truffle in a tube. I also love that it is moisturizing, without being overly greasy. My only complaint is that it takes a few swipes for it to really warm up, but since it smells so delicious I don't mind having to repeatedly swipe. I still haven't found another product quite like it, made of real chocolate and with such a scrumptious scent. Try it, you won't regret it!

Products works as its supposed to...don't care for the raspberry flavor mixed in....prefer the chocolate mousse one.

One of my favorite flavors of this lip balm. Long lasting and really works. Doesn't melt in your pocket either. Good stuff!

The sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, and shea butter soften my lips, and I love the delicate chocolate-raspberry scent. I also appreciate the luxurious look of the lip balm holder.
