These are my hand picked components and hardware for the perfect leap into this CNC process. You will also get the cut sheets and plans for cutting the necessary MDF pieces for a CNC design that can be made with conventional power and/or hand tools. Includes all of the hardware necessary to build the CNC router: Linear bearing angles (bored and tapped), cross dowels, couplings (1/4" to 1/2" on all three axes), bearings for the linear rails and lead screws (24 - 5/16" and 6 - 1/2") , and the nuts and bolts at various sizes. The lead screws and rails are not included. Now, go out and buy that $9.00 MDF and get started. The size of this machine if built according to the measurements in the plans, will travel 40" in the x direction, 20" in the y direction and 5" in the z direction. Other table sizes are possible by altering the measurements in the plans and providing the necessary reinforcements. mechanical components include couplings.

There was a book for this kit, but they did not tell me...
Some good Samaritan put in the comments that this plan refers to a book called"Build You Own CNC Machine" Build Your Own CNC Machine (Technology in Action) .Had I known this it would have saved me a ton of aggravation: I asked for more details and a decent bill of materials with no reply. It does not take much to add the book to the kit, or at least to the description for God sake! The DVD is a joke...After purchasing the book and seeing how well everything is explained I'm even more upset and i downgraded this review to 1 star (I will not review the book because asking 280$ for something like this without mentioning a publication is worse than shameful). So thanks to Riley O'Brien for his enlightening comment.

Stay away!
A LOT is expected of the customer with this kit. There is very little information included and tons of details are left out. There is a home video included that shows a guy making one but it is very grainy and only a few details are shared. It seems very haphazard and he seems unprepared. By the way, the video is the only thing offered in the way of assembly instructions and some of the pieces were assembled beforehand. Also, this hardware kit is sold as "complete" but if you build the machine to plan you will need at least more 1/4 nuts and screws maybe more than that as I'm not finished yet. Needless to say I'm pretty disappointed so far. I've built things from plans like this before but they were free so some "engineering" was expected. Can't say that I recommend this kit. There are more informative plan videos on YouTube and it is easy enough to just buy the hardware separately and save $150-$200
