which is very nice. Very easy to install
Item was a direct fit for a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS with the 2.4L engine. I now have working AC, which is very nice. Very easy to install, just make sure to have an 8mm socket on hand to remove the bolts securing the covers over the inlet and outlet!

Great buy, comes with oil in it and bolts ...
Great buy, comes with oil in it and bolts right up in 10 minutes. Before installing the new compressor, dump the oil out of the old compressor into a bowl. If it is clear, bolt on the new pump and have an AC shop pull a vacum and charge. DONE. However, mine was worst case scenario. My oil was grey caused by ground up aluminum from the old compressor. This gets spread inside the hoses and system. No problem, i simply flushed the system by pouring drug store 90% isopropyl alcohol in the hoses with a funnel and then blasted it through (both ways) with compressed air and repeated till clear. I also changed the condenser for less than $100 because the new style condensers don't flush very well and are designed for replacement. Pulled a vacum with a free loaner pump from AZ. (and since I had flushed the lines and changed the condenser I added 4 oz of compressor oil), charged with 1.5 cans of std. refrigerant. All told I totally rebuilt the entire AC system for about $250 and saved at least $900. Ice cold brand new AC system.

Extremely disappointed with the AC compressors performance and short life
Extremely disappointed with the AC compressors performance and short life. I installed this compressor in my wife's car a 2002 Lancer because the clutch on the original compressor was starting to fail intermittently at 120K. I installed the new compressor and it worked fine for a whopping 6 weeks. She came home from work one day last week very hot and informed me that her AC stopped working. After troubleshooting I found that the high side pressure was low and the low side pressure is high which ensured me that the compressor failed. When the compressor failed it sent fragments throughout the system making for a very time consuming and costly repair. I lubricated the compressor and followed the manufacturer's recommendations for adding oil and refrigerant. The system it only take 18 oz of R134 A and 6.5 oz of pag 46 FYI. I have my T7 ASE certification for doing medium and heavy truck HVAC I also have my 609 license and over 15 years’ experience working in the automotive industry. I am severely displeased with the quality and performance of this product. Amazon was very nice and did send me a replacement unit and I also told them they needed to send me a new expansion valve and accumulator with the compressor as I also replaced them when I replaced the compressor. When the new compressor arrived the shipping box and the compressor box where both damaged and I was afraid to use them as there might be some internal damage due to the rough handling on top of the box but also feared that the next unit might just fail again anyway. Instead of waiting on Amazon to send me an additional replacement I just decided to buy all the parts at my local NAPA Auto Parts store. After spending almost $600 on a quality compressor, new expansion valve, accumulator, condenser and flush solvent to clean the lines and the evaporator core I was able to complete the job. Oww I almost forget about the $150 I had to spend on a rental car for my wife to drive to work while I was waiting on parts and repairing everything. Lesson learned a very expensive time consuming lesson learned. Also just saying this is a Chinese made A/C compressor.

Worked great
Got it fast in good condition. Changed the oil 1/2 cup pag 46. Put it on, evacuated system, charged it, and works great.

It has been a month since I installed it in my Mitsubishi lancer. It took me an hour to remove and install the compressor. Easier than I thought it would be. Filled it with half of cup of compressor oil then took it to a place to have it vacuumed and filled with r134. The a.c. has blown cold ever since. Cross your fingers that it stays that way.
