Installed these on both sides of my deck stairs and landing. Installation was straight forward. One light was not working but manufacturer sent a new set. I decided not to return the other set so I’d have a spare remote and power supply in case they go bad in time. I keep mine set at 10 percent brightness. ( lowest setting ) and they look great. The brightest setting looks like a tactical flashlight in your eyes. I keep these on sunset to sunrise and they are still working fine. Temps have been over 100 to -5 deg f and no problems. Remote is cheap, but does the job. My remote to the box is about 15 feet. Happy with purchase.

Shortly after ordering I read a review stating it had to be reset each time after power was turned off, so I almost cancelled. Glad I didn’t since not true. I have it set at 10% plugged into one of those cheap dial timers to activate mornings and evenings, and it returns to my 10% setting each time. Love it!

I bought these lights to install in a cedar deck in September 2020. First of all I was surprised how easy they were to set up and assemble. I was worried that they wouldn’t be bright enough to light up multiple steps leading to the back yard but when I turned them on they not only lit up the stairs but most of the back yard as well! Running the lights at 50% seems to have the effect I was looking for. Unfortunately one of the power supply units failed last week. So why still the 5 star review? Their customer service is outstanding. I emailed the company and got an immediate response and they shipped me a whole new set including a new power supply. Would definitely buy again.

product worked as expected out of package. However, one day the lights would not work. When I removed the dimmer from the string of lights, the lights worked again. The product says one year warrantee. I had it for less than 5 months. However SMY will not warrantee. This is disappointing. I like the lights, but they are too bright and I felt this dimmer was a good solution (even though I feel the dimmer is too expensive).

This works well but if you have the RF unit set up close to the other set, you will not be able to control it independently. The RF receivers the same signal from the remote control of the other sets.

I used this to bring down the brightness of the deck lights I put in. Now that I have set it to the brightness I want, I doubt I'll be using the remote much, as I have it hooked up to a smart plug and control things that way. But it does what I bought it for, and it was much easier to install that the first dimmer I bought for this purpose was going to be. And they sent it with a extra battery. YMMV.

I bought a set of step/deck lights from this same seller and thought that they were a bit brighter than I wanted for the ambiance that I was trying to create. I reached out to the seller and they suggested this dimmer as it would not reset the light levels each time it was turned off and on. Installation was super simple, literally plug and play. The joints are weather tight and the lights come on at the touch of a button. Should I want the lights to be brighter that is just another touch of the button and then one more button should I want to return to my previously dimmed levels. Great products and great Customer Service response.

This product works well. I needed to dim step lights to a deck, and this product did the job. I will note as someone else did, that if the lights are on a timer, then the default setting on the dimmer is NOT in the ON position, you will have to turn the dimmer on each time. In my case, this was perfect, I didn't want the lights to come on with the rest of the lights, so having to switch them on for me was perfect.

I'm very impressed , works well , only complaint is the facial sticker on the remote is already falling off , but functionality and ease of install are un-compromised
