Edit: after the break in period these pedals spin freely and work fine.I bought this with realistic expectations for a set of $20 pedals. They did not meet that. The bearing are very tight and before installing when rotated by hand holding the threaded part it almost locks up at a certain point. If your going to manufacturer a pedal at least make sure it turns freely. I understand they may need a break in time, but they shouldn't be this bad at the beginning. I see these failing in no time. May go with a more expensive brand, since this brand can't even master the basics, a bearing. Unacceptable.

They are a great help with hills and ensure proper placement of the foot on the pedal. My new electric bike is nice but I can't get used to riding without toe clips. I looked at various items and then found these. This is a much lighter setup than a normal pedal with toe clips attached. It's all together and just a matter of screwing them on. Took them for a ride yesterday and have no complaints. I expect they will last since they won't be subjected to the same stresses as a manual bicycle. Quality wise the clips and strap appear no different from those I have used for over 20 years. The pedal is like a skeletonized version but it works smoothly and doesn't feel any different from a regular pedal underfoot. I don't ride in rain, snow, dirt, or mud so my pedals do lead a rather sheltered life. For me they are a great deal at under $10 with free returns if you find they don't work for you. As of now they are smooth, comfortable, secure, and easily adjustable. I'll update if any problems.Update 12/30/2023: Bought second pair for another bike. Note how it doesn't project as far forward as a regular pedal with toe clips added. This helps reduce the chances of rubbing the front fender when turning while pedaling. Plenty of room for my size 12 feet.

These were super easy to install with a pedal wrench. Only complaint was that the straps were flattened in the shipping process. I could get my right toe in before starting to ride, but working my left toe in was hard for the first 10 rides until the strap stood a bit taller. Maybe if you stuff the pedals with newspaper for a few days it would be easier.

Good fit for wide tennis shoes, excellent grip and installation was easy enough!

These toe clips are concave in a way that presses on the foot more than as if they were rounded away from the foot a little, or even straight. One must set them up and test them so that ones foot can be easily removed when needed... in order to prevent a fall from having a foot stuck in the pedals when one needs it on the ground.

Spin like a pedal should SMOOTH I'll let you know how they last check back in a few years.

THe bearing on mine were tight and not put together well or pehaps defective... sure it's possible I could repack them and they MAY be fine but it may just be the pedals are defective. either way I am returning these..

Ordered a set and the bearings were smooth and Iight in operation. Ordered a second pair and bearings were way too tight. Not surprising at this price point.

Good product. Mounted easily. Exactly what I expected and wanted.

Gone back to these cages from clip ins. Safer and easier to get in and out of!
