User friendly and accurate
This basal body temperature thermometer is very easy to use. The instructions are in Japanese but they are very simple, I could use my very limited Japanese to figure out the instructions. The display is in numbers and pictures, which is very easy to understand. The alarm is not too loud and gets me up every morning without waking my husband. As far as I can see my recorded temperatures have been accurate and very consistent. Highly recommended for women who want to track their monthly cycles by BBT.

Buttons are in Japanese
This thermometer works. The buttons are labeled in japanese, but the English instructions can be found online (called iBasal)... All you need to do is memorize the buttons, not too difficult. I am still waiting to see a temp shift, this is the first month using the thermometer, but it records all of the temps so I don't have to worry about charting every single day. Also, the thermometer records in Celsius.Negative: It takes about 5-6 minutes to take the temperature.Overall, definitely a good savings (vs the english version).

Good buy
Only ovuation indicator I can rely with. It is very easy to use.Only thing missing is some light in the dark option, but for the price, I would not complain.

works really well
It's a little stressful if you pay attention to the temperature everyday, against the suggestion everybody gives you: relax, forget the ovulation kits and the temperatures. But if you apply this method and want a basal thermometer, this works really well: accurate, memorize temperatures, you can set alarm. For me it's good to know my body functions normally based on the charts, when I ovulate/pregnant/my period comes), help me make the decision what to do next. I am glad we have a baby on the way finally after over a year's effort. I can put this aside, but will still use it when we try for the next one or for the natural family planning.

Warning - All words in Japanese
This item has only Japanese instructions. It looks like it would work great, if I wanted to deal with not being able to read the instructions. The iBasal Thermometer is the US all English version. If you need English instructions, just look up iBasal Thermometer Instructions. I personally do not want to deal with the language barrier. I am returning mine.
