These antennas are NOT 9dBi
I am an electrical engineer. I bought these in an attempt to extend the range of a WiFi dongle on a computer at the far end of my house. (BTW...one thing people should know is that a higher gain antenna is not a free lunch -- higher-gain antennas narrow the vertical beamwidth of the "radio wave" -- compressing more power into a smaller angle -- so, to reap the benefits, higher-gain antennas need to be aimed much more carefully perpendicular to the remote (router) antenna...but I am off topic...) I replaced the 2dBi antenna that WiFi dongle came with with one of these, and saw absolutely no difference in signal strength. After carefully "aiming" it, and checking everything else out, something did not add up because I should have seen at least some noticeable gain in performance. Curious, I opened these antennas up. They are easily opened without damage. As I suspected (see pictures), these are no better than 2dBi antennas -- single dipole. If they were even 6dBi, I would expect to see a small coil on the end of this and another short length of antenna wire, and if it was actually 9dBi, I would expect yet another coil and antenna on top of that. That was a few hours time I will never get back. If you are actually looking for a small 2dBi antenna in an extra long mast, these are OK. But these are NOT 9dBi. Amazon, at best this product is mismarked, or worse this seller is providing either very poor quality control, or misrepresenting and duping unsuspecting buyers. Nonetheless, thank you for the prompt and proper refund.

Easy To Install, Some Wi-Fi Signal Improvement
Purchased these antennas to try and boost my WiFi signal in the home. I received them in just a few days, and installed them on an older TP-Link TL-WR1043ND Wireless N300 Router that's been in service for a few years. (I had thought of using a WiFi range extender but having a second WiFi network with the extender was an issue with the tablet and laptop that go all over the house. You would have to change network connection when you left the extender area.) The new 9dB antennas were shorter than the original TP-Link antennas and I was a bit concerned by that.I used my Lenovo tablet to measure the WiFi signal strength both before and after installing the new antennas. I was getting between -66dB and -64dB signal before. After installing the new antennas, the signal strength improved to -62dB and -61dB. Nothing major, although the signal did seem a bit more stable than before. Not sure if the minimal money investment was worth it, but if not, then I didn't have a lot to lose. One thing I did notice is the video camera (2.4GHz WiFi) mounted in our carport does connect a bit quicker and the video feed seems more stable. Now that most of the older devices that were 802.11n are gone, I can update my router to something more technologically advanced as everything in the house now is 802.11ac or Ethernet hardwired.Time will tell if this was a good idea, but maybe it will hold me until I decide to swap-out the router.

They worked well enough for my purposes.
Computer got pushed off the desk when the cat saw something out the window and went nuts, when it hit the floor, the WiFi antennas got broken, I used these to replace the broken antennas, they work fine. Now, if I can only do something about the cat.

Just about doubled my connection speed
I figured for 10$ a pair it was hard to go wrong, but this was the best 10$ (technically 20$ cause I needed 3) I ever spent!I ran 6 speed tests on the same connection, 3 before swapping from the standard antennas that came with my wifi card (top row) and 3 more immediately after swapping to the upgraded antennas, and I think the results speak for themselves. Not necessarily an improvement as far as upload speeds go (though they are now extremely consistent), however my download speeds basically doubled when considering the averages across the board. I even did another test a bit later to see if my speeds were still doing good and I clocked 158! My ping also stayed consistent and low, whereas before my ping was pretty much all over the place.Only downside is that they are pretty thick around at the base, so if you have antenna connections that are really close together or otherwise in a tight spot you might run into some issues, but they seemed to fit alright with mine despite how close together the 3 connections are (they are definitely touching each other)If you can get them to fit though it is definitely worth it. If not you might need to get a small extension lead for one/some/all of them to get them to fit if you can't make the squeeze. And then also obviously they are longer than most standard antennas so that must be taken into account if space is limited. But other than that definitely worth it, and at 10$ a pair it really is hard to go wrong.

If you have an MSI WiFi motherboard, and broke one of your antennas, this is the one to get!
The quality of these antennas is better than the originals that came with my MSI Gaming Pro WiFi motherboard. Signal is very strong, and these are durable and of good quality. One of the antennas that came with my mother board separated at the joint. I found these when another individual purchased the exact same item for their mother board. A quick, affordable fix is very much appreciated for an item I thought was unreplaceable.

Works better than furrion sandard antenna!
Better signal, I am sure because larger than Furrion's standard camera antenna on our rv. you will have to grind/file the outside of the antenna screw on plastic covering or dremel a bit of material off the camera case as this antenna's outside diameter at base is thicker than stock antenna. I just used my bench grinder and lathed off a few mil's of plastic for a good fit. threads are the same!

Problem solved.
I recently moved and our modem was installed completely across the house from where I wanted my desk. We had high speed internet, but there was no sensible way to run a cable without it being tacky and the wifi range was just not *quite* what I wanted. Buffering videos, waiting for webpages to load in, it was like the old AOL days all of the sudden.I decided to give these a try before I bought a cable 5x the cost, and I was shocked at how instantly and painlessly they fixed my issue. They just screw on and work. I've never been a wifi gamer before but I'm having trouble noticing a difference now that I am.
