Azodyl Small Capsules - 90 ct

Our 12 year old lab started drinking vast amounts of water and was having incontinence issues, after a trip to the vet she was diagnosed with kidney renal failure. The outlook for this is never good and the vet recommended prescription dog food to help her which I refused since I feed her Honest Kitchen which is much higher quality than the SD they wanted to sell me. After some heavy research I placed her on this, kidney support gold, Epakitin and Welactin. Her results and response to these has been amazing. Within a few weeks we noticed her water intake return to normal and at her 3 month check up her blood work was so much better that our vet couldn’t believe the results. Our pups protein levels were back to normal and her blood pressure was also perfect. It’s going on nine months and we will be having a full work up done in the next few weeks to make sure everything is still looking good. Her activity level matches that of her six year old German Shepherd sister. Not sure if her rebound is the result of just one of the supplements we give her or the work of all of them. Either way we are so thankful that she is doing so much better, is not suffering and has so much more quality time to spend with us.

This product was recommended to us by our vet to help our 16yo Shih-tzu who is suffering from Kidney disease. While using Azodyl, her loss of kidney function has slowed way down and stabilized. While no product can reverse kidney disease, her bloodwork showed a noticeable stabilization in her kidney’s processing ability (before using Azodyl, her values were getting gradually worse every time we had her checked out). The product is expensive, but definitely worthwhile and has added pro-biotic benefits which also help older pups immune systems fight off infections. We usually have to give this to her inside a pill pocket or piece of food... it’s not something most dogs will eat on their own since it’s just a capsule. The small capsule size is small enough that small dogs like our 9lb Shih-tzu can take them (even inside a pill pocket) without trouble.

These are supposed to stay cold but they are never cold when I receive them. They seem to help my dog with kidney disease though so I will continue to purchase. I just wish they used better ice packs.

I adopted, Snoopy, a super senior cat who has chronic kidney disease (CKD). She stopped eating when she was initially diagnosed a year ago. My vet recommended Azodyl. Snoopy refuses to swallow the capsule so I open the capsule and sprinkle the white powder on her food every morning. I don’t mix the powder into the food so that I can see it to make sure she eats it. Snoopy was also constipated and dehydrated when initially diagnosed but once those two issues were resolved, she began eating again. In the last year she has been eating steadily. Azodyl has been effective. Snoopy turns 17 on 9/16/2022.

We had a 12 year old cat that had been in kidney distress, with a UTI, constant need to squat to try to pee, and was failing. She had lost several pounds and was very lethargic. We received two sample capsules from the vet and immediately saw results. She perked right up and, now, after just over a month, with two capsules a day, is back her to normal self.Before trying these I did some research and found that there were no substantial studies of Azodyl, just veterinarians anecdotal stories. The main take away from my research was that the capsules needed to be ingested rather than sprinkling the materials on food.We give our Noiri two capsules a day, one in a.m. and one in pm, and she has responded very well. I strongly recommend trying this if your cat is in kidney distress. The probiotic formula has worked wonders for our cat :)

Brought my 18 year old cat back to his young self. He had kidney failure. I open the capsules and sprinkle on his food. No problem he gobbles it up. He has gained weight. No more vomit several times a day. And his poop is back to normal. He has more energy and interest. Fantastic ptoduct.

This is a $110 probiotic that is temperature sensitive. I paid an extra $5 for expedited shipping. I was home when the delivery arrived, so it was not waiting outside in the heat. The package still arrived hot. The (very small) ice pack was completely melted and warm. This bottle has obviously sustained high temperatures that will have rendered the efficacy of the medication reduced. For $115, I expect that this highly temperature sensitive medication arrives cold (or at least room temperature).

The same meds I pick up at my Vet, delivered to my door. New and sealed, delivered very quickly with a cold pack. This med is working wonders for my 19 year old dog with kidney failure. He loves mealtime and this supplement has helped him live happily and much longer than we thought he would! He has been taking this for about 4 months now and it makes a noticeable difference in his overall health- his weight, his energy, his strength. I don't think he would have gone much longer without it (and a lot of vet care).
