Lesson learned from repairing 2 1/2 year old lights
Had 6 of these on my gutter for 2 1/2 years now. They got dimmer over time and eventually all died. Just got around to taking them down to see if I can resurrect them. They are cheaper now at <$5 each and really is not worth the trouble. But since I have parts on hand from fixing my solar garden lights, I gave these a shot.Out of the 6, 2 of them are actually still intermittently working. I found the on/off switch on all 6 to be dead or intermittent which was the cause of the light working intermittently. That was easy to fix. Just short out the switch which is not really necessary anyways.Of the 6 batteries, 5 were mostly dead. Only 1 was still working somewhat. I just replaced them all with AA rechargeable. These have 2000mAH compared to the 1300mAH of the original batteries. So they should last longer.2 of the 6 solar panels were totally dead. The good ones are still giving me 2.5V/150mA under full sunlight which is similar to the new uXCell 2v/120ma panels I have on hand. They cost about $1.50 each. It was simple to drill 2 small holesnext to the old panel and rewire the 2 leads to the new panel through these holes. Then glue the new panels on top of the old ones using silicone glue.Apart from the above fixes, I found minor water entry into the inside of the unit, mainly through the opening of the switch. Since I shorted out all the switches already, It is simple to glue shut the opening of the switch to prevent water entry.Overall, I found this light's design superior to the typical garden solar lights in terms of water entry into the circuitry inside. The weak spot is the switch opening.I am happy to have all 6 lights working again. It did cost me 6 AA batteries at $2.50 each plus 2 new panels, total $18. Well, with the current price of a lot of 6, I did not save anything except satisfaction that I fixed something. If you bought these lights, I highly recommend that you seal up the switch opening with silicone glue. That will extend the life of the light.

Good light for the money
I bought two of these to try them out. There's a lot of spots around my house that are a little dark, and I wanted some lighting to light up my path to garage door and back door. I will be ordering about 4 more.I have had these for about 3 months now and they are still going strong. The light does stay on through out the night and morning until the sun comes out. I am not sure why other peoples' light doesn't stay on all night, but my 1st guess would be that the solar light does not get enough sun light through out the day.Make sure you charge them a whole day in the off position before turning them on. For example, (install them Monday night in the off position, let them charge all day Tuesday, then turn them on on Tuesday night once the sun has completely gone down.)The quality of these lights are so cheap, I laughed when I opened the package. It looks llike a science project that a 5th grader did, however it has lasted through a couple of heavy rainy days. I live in Houston, TX and these puppies are still hanging on tight. I think at the time I paid about $8.35/each, I feel like I got more value than what I paid for, regardless of how cheap it feels and looks. As far the light it throws, don't expect a spot light or an outdoor light. This is more like a night light, however it does the job well and it illuminates your path or which ever area that you're trying to make visible. This light has 3 LED bulbs, and are powered by one battery, eventhough there's two slots, but only one is wired into the solar panel.Overall I am really happy with them, they were cheap, and they do the job well. I will recommend them to anybody and everybody."Do it, do it."

Would have rated higher if they would have said no battery included
First off, these DID NOT COME WITH BATTERIES! Do not expect them to and figure that into your overall cost per unit. That said, I used the Amazon Basics AA Rechargeable Batteries, 2000mah, to power them. I did a full charge on the batteries before installing. I am overall impressed with the amount of light that these guys put out. It is not wide spread, but the pool of light it creates is pretty bright in the darkness. I have these clipped to my rain gutters on a couple of corners and it throws about a 3 foot circle of light down on the ground. Easy to see in the dark and walk to. Could read a book once underneath the light. These will last all night long with the battery I have installed and never gets dim before the dawn. An earlier review said that there was a battery already installed and a place for a second battery. This is not the case with mine, just an empty slot waiting to be filled. The good part is that by using a decent battery, it lasts brightly all night. Since I bought 16 of the rechargeable Amazon batteries, I will buy some more of these lights now that I see that they fit my need. Had for over a month now.

They are ok but you can likely find something better
Ordered four of them and though not really bright looked good on the gutters of the house so I thought I would buy another four. Then as I was waiting for them to arrive a storm came through and the wind blew off one of the solar panels which was poorly attached. Then when the new lights arrived none of them had batteries in them so I had to buy some rechargeable batteries so they would work. So they look good but only last an hour or two before they go out. However they are pretty cheap so I guess it depends on your needs. Personally I am looking for something a bit better albeit more money.

Great light
I bought 2 packages of these last summer for our deck. Everyone commented on how nice they looked. The bracket wouldn't fit onto my railing so I used a thick zip tie. THis year I noticed one corner needed one additional light; I was thrilled to find out I could order just 1. They work great and look good.

Too dim, dead within a year ... Glad I didn't buy more
Light cast is very dim and it doesn't last for more than a couple of hours. I would consider it as an accent light as opposed to any light marking a clear safe path at night. My unit also works intermittently as it seems to get water inside it........Glad I didn't buy more. I think this is a great idea, but more engineering needs to go into it. Perhaps a larger or more efficient solar array.Update 1 year later. The unit completely died. The solar panel is all clouded over and the on/off switch is completely rusted out. It is a waste of money.

The price was light
Better than expected. Product arrived 2 weeks earlier than first anticipated delivery date. Battery was included and came already charged. Since the battery is not hardwired it can be easily replaced at the end of its life cycle. Light is bright white and at useful level of brightness .Light's method of mounting makes it versatile for use in other locations such as to illuminate my truck bed. It can be placed directly on a bedside table for use as a nightlight that can also be used as a reading light. The main body of the light is of durable plastic so it should survive mother nature's worst weather for many years and the light is tough enough to be used instead of a flashlight on camping trips.I'm going to use them to illuminate my path and doorsteps. If they get knocked over they probably won't be damaged. At the price I bought them I will simply buy more if they do.

Not much power and short light time
Not enough power to last more than a couple of hours. If you want just a couple of hours of very soft lighting, they are fine. Batteries sent with gutter lights were corroded.I just had to replace ALL the batteries and now they appear to work much better. The cost has now multiplied due to replacing 12 solar batteries!
