Q: What type/model charging jack do I purchase in order to charge rechargeable batteries? I would like to charge the batteries without taking them out.

We just bought a lot of cheap batteries and change them as needed.

Q: I see complaints in other reviews about little ones changing channels. Is there a way to lock the channel to make it more difficult to change?

You can lock the channel by holding the menu button for 2 seconds

Q: I really love this product, but the batteries live for a few days only. Is it normal? Any recommendations? Thank you

I haven’t had this issue. I do, however, use a high quality battery. I also pop the batteries out when not in use as sometimes the walkie talkie is still on yet I thought it was off.

Q: Would these toy walkies have a benefit over regular adult walkies? I have an 8yr old so kind of want to gauge which ones would be better.

Maybe! It would depend on the hand size of your 8yo. These Obuby walkie talkies are perfect for smaller hands. The push-to-talk (ptt) button is front and center. This placement, along with the smaller hand friendly size overall, makes it so much easier for little ones to successfully communicate. It’s brilliant, actually! If the child can’t push and hold the ptt, communication will not only be ineffective, it’ll also be frustrating. My 3yo granddaughter, and her cousins, 4 and 7, had a great time with these! Thanks for a great product!
