Loving encouragement, NOT a tell-all or lofty impossibility
I am really enjoying this book. To be honest, I hesitated to buy it after I read a bunch of the reviews. Some made me want it more; some made me cautious. I had heard Candace Cameron Bure' speak and found her to be genuine and sincere, but that was over a year ago, and I wondered if I had missed something? Some of the reviews make this book sound as if it is centered on her and how amazing she is and that she serves a god of discipline. I find that NOT to be the case...more on that in a moment.I actually had the opportunity to her hear speak again LAST FRIDAY and was taking a friend, based on my previous experience. Once again, I was delighted with how genuine she is, how much she loves her Lord and Savior, and how deeply she feels that need for everyone to know Him...and delight in Him...and give their whole selves to Him...I had just begun following her and the co-author, Darlene Schacht (a darling woman of God), on twitter a short time before, and right after hearing her speak last week, I saw that there was a "65 days to Reshaping It all" challenge beginning in a few days. That did it. Having heard her speak so wonderfully again, having considered this purchase for awhile, and having various other confirmations that this was resource I was supposed to get, I ordered from Amazon the very next day.I am not disappointed.I don't know what other reviewers were referring to when they mention the book jumping around or not being well-written...I have not found that to be the case at all!!! Granted I have only read 3 chapters, but honestly, I think a writing style would be prevalent by now, and those remarks do not characterize what I am seeing.I am seeing warmth, open-ness, and loving encouragement. Is it a sordid tell-all? No. Doesn't need to be. Candace openly acknowledges faults, quirks, what have you...issues that are just as the Word says, "common to man" which we all share, so guess what? We can all relate. (and by the way, having faults does not make one less of a Christian or ruin their witness...God has used many "fallen" folks along the way! and we ALL are! That's why we needed Jesus! and still do...)Is it rocket science? No. Many of us already know in our hearts what she is saying, and maybe just needed it confirmed this one last time. or next 30 times. As far as nutritional advice, again, nothing majorly new here, if you have read anything about nutrition...moderation, whole foods, eating when you are hungry and abstaining when you are not...but the focus is on how our relationship with God can change us from the inside out and give us the power to stand in these areas! So, if you are looking for a new diet book, or celebrity tell-all, or magic method to weight loss...this isn't really it...or maybe it is. Depends on your perspective...If you are looking to be changed from the inside out (and have that change be reflected in your health--physical, mental and spiritual), you must seek God first...and this book just may have the encouraging words that help you get there, or affirm that you are normal, or point you back to the Best Book of all...If you have a good friend or sister to whom you often listen for loving advice, you know how to hear that...THAT is what this book is like...pull up a chair, have a cup of coffee or tea, and sit down for a chat with sister/friend Candace...maybe her story will help you!Ps--there are helpful things like recipes, scripture references, practical tips at the end of each chapter. Also, yes, she has included fan letters and her responses, as well. One reviewer thought these were repetitive. Perhaps they are; I have only read 3...but here's the deal: Candace says that she wrote this book because she kept receiving sooo many e-mails and letters asking her these questions, so clearly that falls in line with the purpose of this book- not as a "look at me and how great I am", but as a validation of why the book needed to be written. So many of us struggle with the same things! be validated, friend. You are not alone, and there are many with whom you can bond and rise up from your trial! God will lift you up!Get the book and enjoy.PPS--as for discipline...yes, one can get obsessive. That is something we need to go to God about to protect ourselves from going out of balance. But discipline is necessary. Hebrews 12:11 "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. "Go for a harvest of righteousness and peace!

So Very Inspirational! Love the way Candace has shared with us how The Word of God can guide us wwith our own body!
Candace, your are remarkable. Your book is so much easier to read than any one about Weight Lose. Adding the Spiritual affect that should be, you are correct, has to be part of our lives. His love and care for us in Every Area of Our Lives! My kid and I watched you early years in Full House. Has been so special to not just the kids and I (their dad had left them at 2,4 and 6) looked forward watching the stories shared with us. Your love for the Lord comes blazing out of your wonderful smile! Your actor friends, should definitely see the difference in you! You certainly have been in your young life and through the added years as you married, had children, and in several Christmas stories that even now are watching you in some of Hallmark's choices. It's so good to see and hear your story, but also read/share what they have received from their lives and been especially blessed as you've added them with the rest of us in your book! God bless you and your family! I'll be praying that you will be given many more opportunities to share your testimony how God's worked in your life. But not too much as I see your family IS very important to you. They always will. " Bring up a child up in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it" My favorite verse "Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father But By Me" John 14:6 and all the rest of His Word!! God bless you!

Life Changing Experience
Darlene Schacht and Candace Bure hit it outta the park! What an amazing book! It has changed my life, I'm not exaggerating...I've gotten the chance to communicate with these women 1 on 1 through twitter and email. They are such an inspiration to me.This book is so motivational. I've noticed that when I wake up, I don't think to myself, wow, I really want to go back to sleep and just sleep the day away anymore! Now I wake up refreshed, and grab my Reshaping It All, and read a bookmarked page. Either a quote or my favorite, a scripture, is highlighted on that page, and it reminds me of how MIGHTY our God is.I have changed the way I look at food and my body. I have such an attachment to food, and even though it's been one of the hardest things to do in my lifetime yet, I am succeeding, and God, and my body is rewarding me! I have stopped drinking sodas, and have replaced that with WATER. I drink 3-12oz cups of water every day. It's amazing how much better I feel!I've also been participating in the 65 Days of 'Reshaping It All' at . Having the book to turn to, and online motivation has been an exceptional benefit in my life. I blog, so reading the posts from Darlene have been so helpful, and have helped in this journey!God can move mountains, and He brought this book, and these women into my life and CHANGED me FOREVER! I am starting to feel so much better about myself and my body is reaping the benefits! These women have taken God's word, and have used it to change women's lives. They have done such an extraordinary job of it. What an amazing fellowship this has shown me with other women.I'm on my 3rd time of reading this book. Every night I read a chapter, and then I start all over again. I don't think I can say how amazing RIA is.Reshaping It All, and these two women have been such a blessing to me and my life. Thank you Candace & Darlene, and GO GOD!LuckyLee2B

Easy to pick up and read
I am really enjoying this book. It's like a friend chatting to me and as a result it's very easy to read and take in. I like the personal stories, and at the same time she offers suggestions of how to apply weight loss principles into your life without being prescriptive to one method. The suggestions at the end of each chapter are helpful.

Great read! Interesting and humble.
Same as my comment on Twitter:" Just read "Reshaping it all". Loved it! Very interesting. You highlighted Faith & Health in a beautiful manner & made a lot of good points." As I'm allowed to express my view with more than 140 letters, here, I would like to point out that I appreciate how honest Candace is by sharing everything. The good times, the hard times without being over dramatic. Just being true to herself and to ourselves. Same as in real life it seems. What you see is what you get! Something I really enjoy. I also felt that you can apply some of her tips and thoughts to other aspects of your life. Great read and cool recipes. Loved the cauliflower/avocado... salad. Thanks for a great time reading this book. :)

Shout out for self-discipline
I grew up watching Candace on tv and have always been impressed by her poise in her interviews. She radiates self-discipline and was generous enough to share her scripture-based secrets with the world. I have never struggled with weight issues but still found this book to be an excellent tool for motivation in other aspects of my life because Candace makes links between family, work, personal wellness, etc. I am definitely going to recommend this book to others!
