Not Shapiro, but does the job
If you are familiar with Barry Shapiro's book, which was for years the standard for ABG interpretation and analysis, this book isn't the same, but it does address the subject quite well and clearly. Gives an easy method for interpretation of ABGs that is easy to understand, easy to learn, and accurate. Shapiro is hard to find these days, and I'm sure another book has replaced it as the "in" book. But if you are an RT student, RN, or any paramedical person who works with ABGs, this is a good book to get the material you need from.

Really Great Book!
Really clear writing, helpful diagrams and descriptions. A s a person with a pretty good knowledge of acid-base information (paramedic) this has really filled out a whole lot of stuff I didn't know or didn't have a full understanding of. Really great and would recommend to anyone wanting to learn more or just learn the information in the first place.
