An exceptional book about life in the early 1950’s and the struggles and accomplishments of a young adult boy. He is in a “Home” run by Sisters who run a tight ship. Orphanage is not the word he want to use. So he lives in a Home with many other children but he is smart and works the life he is given to his advantage and is rewarded in the end. An excellent book.
