I've had acne since I was a pre-teen and I'm 30 now. I've tried every acne RX out there including Accutane, as well as countless OTC and organic stuff. I just bought this and started a new routine that seems to be working extremely well. Every morning and night, I wash my face with whatever I feel like reaching for, as I believe that it's very important to wash your face but doesn't really matter what you use. Sometimes I use an organic probiotic gentle cleanser, sometimes Method free and clear handsoap, sometimes Jason herbal body wash. After that I swipe with Witch Hazel, then apply .75% metro cream from my derm, let that sink in for 5 mins, then apply this Balm. Only in the mornings do I then apply Tart Amazonian Clay foundation with SPF. I also started drinking water with half a squeezed lemon and a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar every morning. My skin has never looked better. Long story short, I've got a complicated routine, but here is why I love this balm:(1) despite the fact that my face is always like an oil slick, it always had lots of flakes! this Balm has eliminated all flakes except for pre-Balm blemishes that are now finally healing.(2) it's natural or organic or whatever, which makes me feel good(3) it makes my skin glow despite the fact that the foundation I use is somewhat matte and cakey(4) no new breakouts and others are starting to healI also have seriously itchy calves that I scratch in my sleep until I bleed but since I started using the Balm on my legs they have only itched a tiny bit which I think is because of my razor. I've tried using every oil and lotion under the sun and nothing works. Jojoba and almond oil give me rashes on my legs. But this Balm hasn't. This stuff seems to beeeeee a miracle worker!

I love love LOVE this product! I was introduced to the line by a friend who was helping with a photo shoot for the product. In exchange for using the products and being photographed, we were paid and gifted one of everything. I'm a product fiend. I have "mature" skin, and prefer a dewy finish as opposed to matte since I'm on the dry side. I usually buy Perricone MD - which always does the trick, whatever trick I'm looking for, but it is PRICEY, as well as Philosophy products, which I also love. This particular beauty balm / moisturizer tops them all. It takes care of the flaky dry skin, leaves my face feeling ultra moist. At first I was skeptical because it feels very heavy. Use a little bit, rub it between your hands and pat your face gently. Let it sit for a few minutes before applying makeup. Done! And, if you're impressionable by reviews, Refinery 29 listed it as one of their must have products. This will be a staple for me.

Normally, I absolutely love this product. But, in my last shipment I received a product that has a different ingredient than what is listed on the box. I am not sure what is going on. It has a sticker that shows it is made from Sweet Bee Naturals, which is concerning if this is false advertising. FYI- it was sent from Calm Of Karma…not sure if I got the real thing. I have reached out to the company on listed on the website, as well as on the box…they are two different numbers- I wonder if I am smelling a scam? Or if Medicine Mama’s Apothecary has changed their ingredients and isn’t being upfront about it?

A blessing for mature dry skin - locks in moisture and leaves my skin smooth, hydrated and glowing. I have tossed all other cleansers and toners - this was a missing piece in my skincare routine and has changed everything for the better. Phenomenal product. Thank you!

I absolutely love this cream. I first used this because a friend won a contest online, in which she picked me as a winner as well. I went through that jar and purchased the next jar myself. This product is fragrance free, goes on smoothly, and leaves your skin feeling soft the next day. It's helped my acne quite a bit and is very hydrating. It does leave a thick film on your face after application, that never fully soaks in. But I love that about it!

I'd used the Medicine Mama Magic Bee stick on my skin before and still do, but this Beauty Balm is great, especially in the winter when my skin is super dry. It helps calm any irritation and heal minor breakouts pretty quickly. I think this is ideal for sensitive skin that has a tendency towards dryness. There were many years where I thought my skin broke out because it was oily until I started to realize that it was breaking out because I was over-drying it. I use it as a nighttime facial moisturizer after I cleanse with black soap. It would be a bit heavy for daytime use.
