Great price and fast shipping. Can’t wait to give it to my grandson.

First, I will comment that this product stopped working in less than a month. There is nothing “magic” or “smart” about the pen. The books simply have the correct answer star printed with conductive ink. The pen will always play the “wrong answer” sound effect unless you are touching the center of the star printed with this ink.FAULTS IN MECHANICS: 1) The child must select the star that stands for the answer, not the answer itself. (E.g. “Where is the arm?” You can’t touch the arm, but the star closest to the arm.) 2) The child must press the center of the star because the entire star does not contain the conductive ink. (I.e. The child may get the “wrong answer” sound effect even when selecting the right answer.) 3) The pen doesn’t work properly if the tip gets dirty (including when ink from the book rubs off onto it). 4) The “right answer” stars don’t work after the conductive ink rubs off.AGE APPROPRIATENESS: The box indicates this is for ages 3+. Accurate reading is required to play. The pen cannot “read”. Some pages are easier (Kindergarten/1st grade level), most are more difficult. Many of the questions can be “interpreted” by an adult to a preschooler (E.g. Can you touch the star near his arm?). Most of the answer stars require reading (see photos). Older children may not enjoy this character or think it is “babyish”.On the flipside, this product comes in a sturdy box with a handle. The books are bright and colorful. The spiral binding makes it easy to keep the book open while playing. The pages don’t tear or bend easily. The “magic pen“ has several fun sounds to cycle through. The volume on the pen is adjustable.
