Easy installation
I purchased this to repair my elderly mothers lift chair and super simple to install. Just pay attention to the direction the motor sits in the frame and you should be fine. I will say the removal of the original part was a pain, but this installs very easily, just remember, this part is REVERSE threaded. Looks and fits just like the original, chair has worked flawlessly since. If you can get this one, meaning the plastic one, get it, the metal ones could actually break something major on your chair. This part is made to break before breaking something major, like the metal framing of the chair. Like I said earlier, easy install, don't be intimidated, the hardest part is getting the old one off.

Lift Chair Like New
The motor fork was an exact replacement, a quick install, and did not require any dis assembly of the lift mechanism. Very happy to have my lift recliner working like new again. Don't throw a broken lift chair out!

When your recliner is your bed, you need to fix it, now.
My old motorized recliner finally broke the part of the motor drive-shaft that really does all the work. I looked online and saw many motors, with shafts and such, selling for a couple of hundred dollars. Then I saw this. This little end is what actually takes all the stress when you move the chair up or down. And it was very cheaply priced! So I bought it, and it took about 1 minute to put this on my motor. Reassembly of the chair took a while, but this part of the fix was very quick. Good, well-made part for a very important part of my daily lifestyle.

Required modification
This worked as modified. This item is left hand thread. I needed right hand thread. It also appears to be slightly larger diameter than the one I needed. I contacted suppliers and searched potential sources such as Ebay. I couldn't find the correct part. Before returning this to Amazon, I decided to see if I could make it work. I filed off the threads and then inserted the part into the actuator. It screwed into the unit, making new threads as I went. I had planned to use epoxy, but that was not necessary because of the extremely tight fit. I had to use a rod inserted into the cross hole to get leverage as I turned. I attached the repaired actuator to the chair, and it appears to work beautifully. Item repaired for $15 instead of being replaced for $200 to $300. If you're smart enough to be trying to repair your chair, you can do this.

Perfect fit
This was a perfect fit for our contraption for our bed that raises the bed into an upright position. This little plastic piece broke on our bed so we weren't able to adjust it so we can sit up and watch TV. We were hesitant thinking it wouldn't work but it fit perfectly. I would recommend it. We have a sealy icomfort adjustable bed. Thanks to this little part our bed is back in action lol
