Replace faulty part

This thing list price for over $700 at Mercedes-Benz and $500 at local parts stores... At under 80 bucks I couldn't believe it until after I installed it and it worked perfectly

Was a direct fit no modification necessary it looked identical to the factory Mercedes air pump and was quiet as a mouse on startup... Original MB unit had developed a bearing noise which caused it to squeal pretty loud for the first 10 seconds on a cold start but this solved the problem instantly. Average repair at an MB dealership was $948... This was under a hundred bucks and took a half an hour to install it's a no-brainer unless you like paying the dealer exorbitant markup!

First one lasted 10 months. Replaced it and then took it apart to see what was wrong. The bearings had NO Grease in them. In order to find this out I had to destroy the seal on both end bearings. The stator end had a little, but the fan end had 0 grease in it. I have tried the Bosch unit and got 2 years out of those but they cost twice as much.

Installed the air injector and it worked fine. I reset my engine light and everything was great for about 7months rhen my check engine light appeared with P0410 on the computer. The secondary air injector pump is failing!

Purchased in November, check engine light never came off. Ran engine diagnostic and was told again that I needed a new pump. 6 months later it stopped working completely.
