Weighted Blankets...Most parents of autistic children have heard of weighted blankets. They are often very expensive, the weighting can be confusing and you never know if they will make a positive difference to your child.Many years ago I was offered to try a weighted blanket for our eleven year old child who has autism, sensory processing disorder and anxiety. The one we tried was lent via Occupational Therapy. It was made from thick cotton and didn’t feel nice to touch at all. It reminded me of an old dogs bed, so I was not surprised when our son wouldn’t allow it near him.Years passed and we have another two children, again likely on autistic spectrum and with sensory issues. My youngest child, who is five, particularly likes a firm touch. So hand holds have to be squeezy. He is also a very restless sleeper and can wake as often as every 20 to 30 minutes throughout the night.When I saw Snoozzy weighted blankets being advertised in an autistic forum I was really drawn to them as they looked different from ones I had seen before. Yes they are weighted blankets, but with super soft covers, dimpled on one side and simple design on the other. Given that every child is different, I thought that it was worth trying a weighted blanket for our youngest, and so our Snoozzy and “Tweet-Tweet” Snoozzy Owl joined our family.Since Snoozzy arrived with us over a week ago, we have had a good few days and nights with it. From the moment it arrived, our youngest was immediately taken with its softness and weight. Let me talk a little about the features I noticed;❤️ The inside weighted part is covered in a soft cotton type fabric and is well made with secure stitching. It has soft ribbons at anchor points, in all corners and also mid sections.❤️ The actual cover is so super soft with zipper side to let you open it to fit the weighted part in. It has a cute dinosaur design, but would love the option of getting more covers as spares.❤️With the smaller blanket, there was a soft Snoozzy Owl toySo far, my five year old has had the blanket on him almost every night to help fall asleep. He prefers it over his lower half of body from tummy downwards. I have noticed he is less restless and for many of the nights has not woken as much. However the main thing I am loving about this is that when he does wake, it really helps to settle him quicker. The blanket applies pressure like a hug but without the stimulation of it being mummy and who is someone to chat to, poke, play with, kiss lots etc 😆 . I admit to having a little lie under the blanket too and it feels so calming and am very tempted to buy another larger version.

I got this (amongst other things, wobbly cushion and chew necklaces) for my 5 1/2 yr old after getting feedback from school that she was sensory proprioception, she was struggling to sit still and focus and was chewing things. She’s been sitting under it whilst playing on her kindle and watching tv. My child’s personality has, within 24 hours transformed. She’s not shouted once, has not complained when her kindle is taken away. Yesterday she went out for a dog walk without the usual tantrum, and no moaning on the walk. My daughter is now delightful to be around and is genuinely a much happier child.I was sceptical, and the price nearly put me off, but the product is beautifully packaged, really soft and it has changed our household to a happy oneHighly recommend

We absolutely love our Snoozzzy, it is so lovely, the material is so soft so cuddly! The unicorn print makes this blanket so interesting for my daughter and she loves looking at all the detail! The delivery was so fast! I ordered the blanket last night and it arrived this afternoon!! So far my daughter has really fallen in love with Snoozzzy the owl 🦉 (who is super adorable and cuddly) we have been using the blanket for a few nights now and we are definitely noticing an improvement in her sleep while using the blanket, you can tell she feels so secure and like she’s being hugged all night! I would 100% recommend Snoozzzy, there are so many weighted blankets out there but the Snoozzzy is by far the prettiest and the quality is just amazing so look no further! 🦄💕

Absolutely amazing buy! After doing a lot of research into Weighted blankets, this one really stuck out to us.The Weighted blankets weight is nicely distributed and has little loops around it, allowing you to fasten the cover to it. This is fab as it stops the blanket moving around within the cover, ensuring that weight stays evenly distributed.The cover has ribbons within for attaching. It fastens with a zip, meaning small hands don't get stuck within the cover. It is lovely and soft to feel with lovely patterning.We instantly noticed a diffence in our small ones sleep after the first night of using it.The owl is super soft and squishy too.Overall, highly recommended buy!

Gorgeous blanket. I got this blanket for my son as he has adhd and autism, and his anxiety is terrible at night time. He loves the blanket, but as he likes to wrap himself from head to toe, he still had to ise another blanket along with it. This wasn't an issue though. The product is very well made, and very high quality. I recently had laparoscopy surgery on my stomach, and I used the blanket myself during recovery. The blanket was the perfect weight to lay on my stomach, and it really did help me sleep and feel like my stomach was protected. It also helped to keep me cool, as I was overheating with my normal quilt. Highly recommended!

I'm a insomiac of many years and my friend told me about this product. I ordered the largest blanket, with the dinosaur cover. It arrived on time, beautifully packed. A lovely note from the founder and the option to choose a charity for them to donate £5 to..How amazing is that! Well this product is simply beautiful. Lovely soft knobbly fleece on the underside, and silky smooth on top. I've been using it for a week now, and it is so relaxing to use whilst watching TV before bedtime, really chills me out. And on the bed it's so comforting, like a big snuggle. I'm not sure it's helping me get more sleep just yet, but I'm getting increasingly more rest and definitely feel more awake during the day, and get less stressed because of it. I couldn't recommend more highly :)
