Ultra Portable, OK+ Sound
I was looking for a way to provide better sound for my phone.I have an Oontz speaker, it's decent but only in small spaces. Wanted an upgrade.Required an internal battery, Bluetooth connectivity, and an improved sound. And be inexpensive.Total satisfaction on all requirements.A huge fun bonus is you can dance around with your phone, waving the speakerI also use it playing along with my keyboard. Prop the phone in the music rack slot. Away ya go.Can't comment on TV use.Charging is super easy, same chord as the phone.I've never used the remote, never a need, the soundboard is usually close a hand. (no TV use)It's supposed to last 3-4 hours pumped up. Didn't encounter that. With the phone turned all the way up, the soundboard know at 1/2 was usually fine. What else, the bluetooth connection works great. Turn on the bar, the connection with the phone is made.I'd buy it for a gift, say for teens. It's great.Hey 1 star, what were you expecting for 35 bucks???Sheesh.

Simple and easy for strengthening TV sound
I've been using this about a year now and it's still working great. I didn't need anything too fancy or high tech. I just wanted something that moved the sound from the back of my tv to the front so it was easier to hear. I haven't had any static on feedback issues. I haven't been using the remote. When I set it up, I put it on one setting and have left it that way and I turn it on and off from the dial on the side. I also leave it plugged in all the time. At first I would unplug it when it was charged, but then when it got low it would start making beeping sounds and cutting out the tv sound. I was confused. The instructions never mentioned anything about that.

What's (or watts) to like?
Nada. Bupkis. Zero.Okay, I have done studio work for many years and I'm a tad fussy when it comes to things I want to listen to music to while I'm relaxing. I honestly didn't think they still made anything this bad anymore. This is a throw-back to crappy cheap speakers thirty or forty years ago. Yes. They are THAT bad.Understand, I wasn't looking for anything in the audiophile or even enthusiast category. Some inexpensive I could perch on top of the dresser, turn on and off with a remote then run some music through while I read or surfed the web. So, at this price point, I certainly wasn't expecting anything grand. But I did expect something that would exceed two tin cans and a string.I fiddled with the volume control and it seemed to have two distinct settings: Loud and Bad -or- very Soft and Bad. This is playing the same music, mind you.Sure, it set up easy enough. The first problem I encountered was the remote which had a range just slightly longer than the width of the soundbar. Then I started sorting through files to find something to play. It was so-o-o bad sounding I got up to get the manual (which, in itself, speaks volumes) to figure out what I did wrong. Then I tried using some DSP on my laptop to see if I could make something tolerable to listen to (this is when I found out that the remote couldn't operate the soundbar from my chair across a 14' room. Oddly, it managed to run off my christmas lights that also in the room. Then I found that I couldn't use the remote unless I stood directly in front of the unit. Bad. Very, very bad.So, back to the box it went and back to Amazon it goes. If you really want a cheap, decent sounding soundbar I suggest you move on and checkout something else. Unless this turns out to be a one-off bad one sent out and I happened to get it. But I'm not getting paid enough to chance another one of these. I'll increase my budget and my expectations and move on.

Not bad for a cheapo soundbar
Functionality is fine and the sound is acceptable for a cheap soundbar. BT works great. Purchased this for my parents who both use hearing aids - placing the speaker close to them helps greatly. Batt life is decent, sound is acceptable, build quality is not bad. Treble is clear, bass is lacking - but I bought it for the treble. Speech dialogue is good. The rest is mediocre. If you need a cheap one and don't care too much, it will get the job done. Don't expect high quality audio for this price but the functionality is there.

Not great for music, but fine for TV
I bought three different brand speakers for our three computers. I tested them all on the same computer by playing some high energy music. These speakers were not that good. The sound was very tinny, sounded like the speaker was in a box. The difference in the sound between all three was remarkable. I considered returning this, but then thought to attach it to my TV since I'd been wanting a speaker bar for it. It actually works really well for that. It does spoken word fine, music not so great. The remote now comes in handy. When I need the sound higher than what the TV is giving me, I just turn it on and adjust the sound from the couch. We used it last night and it made a huge difference in the movie we were watching. I have the speaker on a shelf under the TV. The TV is still putting out it's sound, but the speaker is adding to it almost like having it in stereo. I'll keep it because it fills that one need at a much better price point than TV-specific models.
