First item arrived with a torn original box and a big dent in the part. This is in itself very strong, so imagine how it must have been mishandled to be dented. Fortunately I recieved the replacement two days later. This time the box was intact, but again the part was scratched and chipped. I accepted this, because it would not impair it’s function, but of course a new part shouldn’t have any damage at all.

Used with the Pertornix III and this puts out a very hot spark. Bright blue spark especially with the .007" over std. expanded gap. You must make sure you are getting a true 12V to the coil. If your car has a resistor or a resistor wire installed, you must remove them. This is not difficult to do. The Pertronix III is awesome and works far better than I expected !!!! I will be converting ALL of my vintage cars to this system when my wallet stops bleeding !!

I bought this to replace a coil on my car with HEI ignition. I selected it because of its low electrical resistance. When I received it, I measured the resistance with my own ohmeter and got the same value as advertised. Time will tell if it is better or worse than its predecessor.

Running a Pertronix 3 ignition module in a stock chevy distributor, a new Pertronix 3 ignition coil was bought as a backup. The previous ignition coil failed.After Installing the PerTronix 3 coil as a replacement, the engine would stumble and misfire from a standing start accelerating normally or when going around a corner.Another brand ignition coil was installed and problem went away.

Arrived faster than expected, however it was damaged on arrival. Hopefully it works

The Pertronix packaging is a little lite/flaky for the weight of the coil.Mine fell out thru the bottom of the box, onto the cement garage floor and chipped the tower a bit.Installed it anyway with the Ignitor 3 ignition module.1974 Olds Delta 88 Royale Convertible has never run so smooth or with as much zip!

Came damaged. Have not tested to see if it works but it has some dents and damage to the paint. The box looks like it has been crushed. I am still waiting on other parts to be delivered before I can test it but other than the damage it looks like a decent product.
