Unless you're constantly moving, the Orb will not stream your steps to the app, and even if you were constantly moving, you need to have the app open on your phone in order for the data to stream. I work a desk job, but I wanted to have something that would motivate me to move more. Because I don't walk very often, if I wanted to know my progress, I had to open the app, manually press the button on the Orb, and hope that they synced. It worked about 70% of the time.As for sleep tracking, again, you have to manually engage it, then manually turn it off before getting out of bed.I had been wearing it on the waistband of my jeans, but one day I decided to wear it on my front pocket instead. I went out to a restaurant, came home, and discovered it was gone. I guess the clip had come loose somehow and fell off. Because it's rubber, the fall was silent, and I never even noticed. I'm not going to bother buying a new one. It was a cheap little experiment that lasted about a month.

This product is terrible and fails at its primary function, which is to count your steps. I tested it versus some other similar products and found that it counted about half as many steps. I would walk and check and find sometimes, it had counted no steps at all. I contacted tech support over several days and they essentially blamed me.When you have a product that seemingly doesn't work and the manufacturer blames the customer for the product failure then what you have is a scam. Save your money.

So far so good. I get rewards through a program with my health insurance company if I use a fitness tracker. Fitbug was one of the cheapest options. I like to use the clip and wear it on my shoe because I hate wearing things on my wrists. So far it tracks my steps, syncs with my phone and my health insurance website. I actually have a lot of fun seeing how much I walk during my workday. So far I have only been using it for a week. I'll update my post if it stops working properly.

I love my fitbug and what it's done for me. I've lost 30 lbs in 6 months. It's been so helpful to help track my sleep and my steps. I think it's fairly accurate and detailed. I think paying for those more pricey ones, is not needed. These are really nice and it works really well for me. I love the portal and the tips that it gives me to continue my progress. I also like that I don't have to charge it and miss sleep time, but it runs on watch battery and I only had to replace mine in the 7th month. I even bought my boyfriend one, so we can track our health together. :)

Very good for the price! I received my first one and it wasn't working properly. I contacted the company, and they quickly responded with troubleshooting ideas. Those didn't work so they mailed me a new one with out my requesting it. It works great on the wristband. The app has lots of info and is easy to use. Only reason for. 4 stars is I don't have luck with the clip, which I really wanted to work so I didn't have to wear the band. It doesn't track as accurately on the clip

Love this item for the price. Sure, a fitbit may be nicer, but for $30 or less, you cannot beat this. It tracks steps really well, and I like that it runs on battery because I never have to charge it, and the battery lasts a long while. The app is easy to use, but unfortunately it is not compatible with the MyFitnessPal app as of yet.

I love my fit bug! It does exactly what I needed it to and is much more cost effective than other options out there. For what I needed, this is perfect.

It gives pretty basic info: how far you walk and how much sleep you get. I have yet to experience "Kik" the personal trainer with the device... not sure how that works as the instructions were pretty limited. Also, the software seems SUPER basic. Not very impressed but it is OK for the price.

Product is no longer supported by the FitBug app, unless you are a corporate subscriber - so device is no longer of any use. Returned mine for fast and immediate refund from Amazon Seller, can't fault that part of the recess

Just after bought this they changed it so It had to be used on aSmart phone, which I didn't have. Complete waste of money

Very good for counting steps. Unreliable for registering sleep. Even though set & worn correctly it frequently does not register sleep.

Very good product. Bought for my wife who uses it all the time. Only question is the number of paces you have walked in a day - not sure what stride length the gadget is calibrated to but it seems to be very small.

Lost my 1st one. So this is my 2nd one. So need I say more. Fantastic product and love the weekly e mails they send u .

Really bad kept freezing stopped working several times really not worth the money!

Works really well and I love it. I had for like 2 years now and I think mine just broke on me. Great for the price I will buy another one

Very poor quality, the strap 'clips' are less than secure, and the method of turning off at night is very hit and miss. The strap came undone 2 or 3 times during normaleveryday activities like unload a dish washer, she caught the strap and off it came. Less than a month later it was gone, she thinks it fell off as she lifted our grand daughter the car somewhere. i wont be getting another one.

I have had mixed results with this, for some reason after coming out of sleep mode it is ages before it records any steps. The app on the phone is limited and accessing an account on the kindle does not allow you to add activities so this has to be done on a pc if you want to add any other activity other than walking. It's good for the price but I may have to upgrade it soon as it's limited. It is very discreet though which is good as you can lock it on anywhere on your clothing.

Great piece of equipment and it's very encouraging to see how hard you have worked during a workout or walk. Much better and more accurate than a pedometer.

What a piece of tosh. I should have known for the money this would not be a great purchase. Now I am no technophobe but I just could not get this to sync with my phone, well i lie i managed once to upload any data. I spent approx 4 hours over 24 hours trying to get this to work to no avail. I have returned the item and will be looking to buy something more expensive that does exactly what it says on the box. Avoid there are better trackers.

Ich habe mir den Fitbug vor ca. 3 Wochen gekauft und bin mittlerweile sehr zufrieden.Die Bedienung im Zusammenhang mit der App ist sehr einfach und funktioniert einwandfrei. Am Anfang habe ich etwas gebraucht bis ich das System verstanden habe.Im Verlauf der App kann man den aktuellen Status sowie die der aus der Vergangenheit abrufen. Jeder absolvierte Tag wird farblich markiert. Grün steht für die Gesamtschrittzahl des Tages, pink man hat seine Zielschritte erreicht oder übertroffen (hier werden auch die aeroben Schritte bewertet) und grau "Versuchen Sie es". :-) Der Fitbug zählt die Schritte sowie die gelaufenen Meter.Auf der Homepage kann man einen Account anlegen, wobei ich dazu sagen muss, dass die Länderauswahl derzeit nur für die USA gilt und entsprechend die Sprachauswahl. Deshalb nutze ich nicht die in der App zu verfügung gestellten Ernährungs-/Kalorienrechner, die Eingabe erfolgt auf der HP, was ich etwas umständlich finde und diese nicht mit unseren Lebensmitteln übereinstimmen.Die Materialien und das Produkt selbst machen einen guten Eindruck. Allerdings ist es mir schon passiert, das ich unter Benutzung des mitgelieferten Clips den Fitbug verloren habe, den hatte ich an meiner Gürtelschlaufe befestigt. Der Clip hing noch... den Fitbug habe ich dann im Auto wieder gefunden.Für meine Zwecke reicht er mir, mein Schlafverhalten kann ich mir selbst erklären dazu brauche ich ihn nicht.Der Fitbug ist eine gute Hilfe/Richtlinie das Bewegungsverhalten zu dokumentieren und macht deutlich wieviel wenig Schritte man an einem Tag gelaufen ist.Ich gebe ein Punktabzug im Zusammenhang für die Ländereinstellung auf der HP.

Love it. I can clip the orb in my waistband or bra! Make sure you remember to remove it before putting your clothes in the wash!

Had to return this as even though it was stated it was compatible with my phone (Samsung S3 mini) it infact wasn't compatible at all. Shame as I was looking forward to using it
