Great Scope Mount for Price
I bought this based on a review listing all the different types of scope mounts out there. This one seemed to be middle of the road in price, but the review had only one con about install. I mounted mine on a Scout, and it went on with ease, and is rock solid. I haven't taken it to the range yet, so time will tell, but that review was spot on. So far, great item.

Good Value
I read reviews of other budget friendly mounts and they weren't good. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and ease of fitment of this mount. If you don't want to pay $200-$300 for a decent scope mount, this is a good one to look at. The rings also look good and went on nicely.

But holy crap batman it works
I bought this to put on my SOCOM M1A. Its so low cost. But holy crap batman it works! The only thing is that the 90 degree edge on the under side on the right of the mount where the cases eject needs to be filled away so that its round instead. This helps with proper ejection and keeps shells from getting stuck between mount and receiver once and a great while. Ignore the so called instructions, as they mean nothing.Get yourself a rubber hammer. Tighten the mount on with the main bolt first. Hit it once left of the bolt, once right of the bolt, and then once high of the bolt. Retighten. What you are doing in this process is "force forming" the aluminum of the mount to your receiver. After you have done this to the point that the main bolt will not tighten any further, the do the clip mounted portion. DO NOT FILE YOUR CLIP MOUNT! file the stupid mounting block instead. why would you perminently modify your weapon???? Last is the balancing screw at the front of the mount. You want that thing just barely in contact with top of receiver, its just for balancing, not locking anything down.About 400 rounds through weapon after mounting this, and its holding tight. Giving me about 2 inch groups at 100 yards with scope set at 5 power. So it works!!!.

Great piece for my springfield standard
Arrived very quickly. Seems sturdy enough. Mounting was a breeze and with proper tools, take minimal time. I have not had a chance to shoot with it yet, I'll try to remember to update my comment when I do

Mount is high
This mount is very high. You will need a large cheek riser. Use the shortest scope rings as you can.

Just say no
Will not fit. Can not be made to fit. This is not the mount you're looking for. Do not buy this mount.

Solid main-frame, trash hardware and design
Seemed like a great design at first, torqued the hardware and loctited all the screws, centered the main frame easily on my m1a. First trip out to the range the dovetail screw sheered off while zeroing, the centering lug behind the large thumb screw stripped itself from the recoil, and the whole mount rocked 1/2" front to back. Upon further inspection when I got home it became clear that the dovetail screw never mounted flush to its pocket, in fact leaving almost no real contact area between the frame and the screw head outside of a 1/64" rub ring. Needless to say, that lack of contact area is undoubtedly the cause of the head shearing off, but beyond that the aluminum is clearly not hardened to withstand .308 on repeat. I wasn't expecting it to last forever for $70, but not even a magazine? Cmon. Ended up buying a bonafide Springfield armory mount which is what I shouldve done in the first place. Oh well. If you've got a 6.5 or a .223 M1A itd prolly be fine, but certainly not for .308/7.62.
