I bought this whistle for soccer practice and works very well. It is really loud and efficient to lead my practices.

Super loud whistle grabs the attention of everyone. I use it to officiate football and it is a game changer louder then the normal fox 40’s.

I bought the Fox 40 Sonik, HUTOU Referee and Storm All-Weather Whistle to test. They all are super loud and all robust. They all read the same on my db meter and all gave everyone a head ache when I tested them. Pick the form factor, price and color you want. One side note, I was unable to test any of them underwater or in super cold conditions.

I used it for Lifeguard, it is water proof and no balls so you can use this for any water activities.

Long whistle with good range

I use this whistle as I cycle down a busy street in a bicycle unfriendly area. This is not the first whistle I have used, but unless Fox makes something better, this is all you need.This is a seriously loud whistle. It is super efficient, you can be cycling and almost entirely out of breath and yet, if you blow this whistle with what little wind you have left in you, it will still be more than loud enough for drivers to hear you. I have ridden in heavy wind before, and the cross breeze hitting the whistle was enough to make it produce sound (was just for a second, but demonstrates the efficiency of the unit).If used for cycling, you NEED a whistle with a rubber mouthpiece, as this one does. This way you can ride and hold it in your teeth in congested areas. Holding a bare plastic or metal whistle in your teeth is slippery and uncomfortable.The breakaway lanyard is the essential. If you lean forward over your handlebars you'll be surprised at how easily the whistle can snag in your shifter or brake cables.Five out of five stars, all day long.

The sonic whistle is extremely loud. I have purchased several for others as gift. I use while bike riding and at work when needed. I’m extremely satisfied with this product. You will never need another whistle after this one. Very reasonable priced
