YoungJu DaeJangGan - Handmade Korean Hand Plow Hoe/Ho-Mi

Got two of them over a year ago. My mother's old one had a broken off wooden handle and she had it for years. Mother's Day was coming around at the time, so I bought 2 of these. She has used them forever and a half, so I replaced them with some new ones. No problems with them at all. The handles are comfortable and the blades have not broke. She has a very large garden and this is her go-to-tool for just about everything.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  Heard this was one of the popular products so I gave it a try. After trying it for about a week now with spring gardening, I am done with my little hand shovels for good. This thing really works. What takes my hand shovel about 10 digs, this ho-mi can do the same job in 2. I tried it on removing weeds, digging soil to plant flowers, and digging out old roots, and trust me, I worked so much faster with this tool. It also has a sharp end that I used it to scrape off the weeds popping out between the cement in like 2 seconds. I am ordering 30 more to give as gifts to my relatives and my gardening buddies. Two thumbs up. (My friend bought a cheaper one made in China, and the handle broke after a month. This one is a much better quality ho-mi made in Korea)

I was on the hunt for a certain type of garden hoe and somehow came across this item. I immediately fell in love with it after using it for the first time. This tool is awesome, it does everything I want. The pointed tip is extremely precise allowing me to get into a plant without harming it. The hoe end pulled out an invasive ground cover plant with ease. I used this for just about everything cleaning my garden getting vegetables planted, anything and everything. The quality is superb and hand made which is just about the best thing ever. Thank you for making such an awesome tool!!

This Ho-mi works great for all gardening tasks. It is easy and comfortable to use for long hours. My wife bought this but I enjoy this more than her. I wanted to buy another one, but I had to wait since this was hand made and out of stock. I didn't want to try a Chinese imitation. I even watched a documentary about this Korean blacksmith and the history behind how he made this tool so well. There is a lot of detail that went into developing the quality of this tool even down to the exact degree in its angles and tapering of the shaft. A great person made a great tool. I highly recommend!!! Make sure the handle has the blacksmith's stamp to ensure authenticity (as shown in the pics).

An extremely well-made and useful gardening implement. I wish they had a longer handled version of this tool. I am getting too old to be on my knees long enough to really exploit this. Just like one can get in Korea.
