Global Decor Chef Kitchen Timer

I surprised my wife with this timer and she loves it. Even with a gee-whizz microwave timer, it's nice to have an extra timer for other purposes while the MW and oven timer are being used. And this one can be taken with you to a different room if you don't want to have to go back into the kitchen to cancel those other timers. Remember, you have to wind it passed a half-hour then back to a shorter set time for the ding-er to work. Build quality is okay; I hope it lasts.

I read The reviews and was apprehensive to order this. It arrived quickly, in perfect condition. I have used it every morning for the last 30 days to make poached eggs and I have had perfect eggs ever since. The ringer is easy to hear in your kitchen. I love it. It is cute and doesn't take up a bunch of space. Not sure what I'd do without it now! Well, I would reorder it for one thing.

I used this timer about 20 times and it stopped working.It seems that all of these non-electric timers are not worth buying.As many of the reviewers say, I had non-electric, old timey timers that lasted years of usage and being dropped scores of times and half melted on the stove top. They continued to work, and we could take them for granted. Eventually they wore out and we went down to the hardware store or Woolworth's to buy a new one. Now, none of them work for very long. It's a very sad situation.

Family member loved it but wish the ring bit louder, other then that she was happy with the gift and part of her kitchen collection.

I have a chef kitchen so this was a good addition. It works well and is decorative at the same time.

The chef I received was not what is pictured. My chef has a pointy beard that makes him look evil. Also , when I received it the bottom had come apart and I hard time fixing it back together.

My second one of these. My granddaughter twisted the wrong way and broke it so was happy to find a replacement on Amazon. Works great and goes with my Italian Chef kitchen theme.
