Early Riser House Blend Ground Coffee, 24 Ounce

I bought this coffee because it was inexpensive(it was on sale and thought it was a promotional gimmick for brand building) and figured it couldn't be that bad because of the reviews. It's not terrible but it's not the coffee I want for my family or friends. I like good coffee and this'd tastes burnt and like cigarettes. We measure equal parts to water for consistency in good coffee and sadly it's still not a good tastes.

I was excited to try a type of espresso that I could make in my Ninja Coffee maker and was a large quantity for the price. This tastes bitter. There is no pleasant aroma to the coffee. It literally smelled like something in my kitchen was burning. I even checked to toaster because I was sure something was burning and I knew the stove was off.The side of the bag has a "satisfaction guarantee" however the hours of customer service are from 8 am to 5 pm EST. I emailed, according to the phone number, and never received a reply. Called a few days later. They have no clue what type of coffee I am talking about. This coffee doesn't seem to exist outside of amazon.Don't waste your money. I'd give it away but I don't feel like even a homeless person should be forced to drink this.

Better than a store brand! I mix 1 teaspoon of chicory root with my French roast coffee and this tastes better in combination than any other that I’ve tried and because the price is so good I will continue to buy it!

I think this is my new favorite coffee. I like strong coffee & this fills that requirement (though I wouldn't mind it being even stronger). I'm not an early riser & usually don't drink more than 1-2 cups a day. It may be too strong for someone who's sensitive to caffeine, but caffeine has never affected me one way or the other, so I bought this mostly to try it for the taste. It's ground very fine & is a pretty good value for the money. When I have left over coffee, I put it in a Mason jar & keep it in my refrigerator. It makes delicious iced coffee & you get more for your money. It will stay good for a week without any deterioration of taste. You can also heat it up in the microwave if you prefer it hot. I'll definitely be buying this again, even though I like to try out the different brands.

Bought it to use on my ninja coffee maker. Put it in and used select brew (4oz concentrated) and it was soo good! I added a little milk and caramel drizzle and it was delicious! Way better than what I expected 🥰🥳

No flavor... pure caffeine.If you're looking for a caffeine buzz... this is for you... me I want the flavor.

tl;dr - Nope.Full story:I mix my morning coffee 50/50 regular/decaf, more decaf if I drink any more the rest of the day. I bought this because I’m waiting for my subscription for my preferred brand, ran out of decaf, this was available next day and had a coupon available. I could have gotten off my butt and gone to the grocery store for coffee this mediocre. I’m frugal and hate wasting anything food-related. There’s quite a bit of coffee in the bag. I’ll mix it with my preferred brand of decaf to make this stuff more palatable until it’s gone. I gave it two stars instead of one because the deal was good.

After being let down by all the varieties on our grocery store shelves, we started exploring Amazon offerings. We have had great results with the Amazon Basics and New England brands. They are flavorful throughout the whole bag. I expect that is the result of superior beans, process, and quality control. Early Riser reminds me of the store brands we bought in which the coffee from the first brewing are only moderately acceptable. This doesn't bode well for the remainder of the bag. We will freeze this for emergencies and get back to our favorites.
